Tomsk Russia 1992 Degree equivalent to U.S. Master’s Degree in Biology and Teaching of Biology and Chemistry at secondary level MA in Economics: economics and business management – Novosibirsk State University. Novosibirsk. Russia 1997 Degree equivalent to U.S. Master’s Degree in Economics and Business Management EMPLOYMENT HISTORY 1999-present – Research Associate/Lab Manager Lab of Molecular Genetics and Development of Dr. Edward Schmidt Department of Veterinary Molecular Biology Montana State University Bozeman USA. Applied research: Using targeted mutagenesis in mice to study the changes in evolution of the basal transcription machinery and mechanisms of gene regulation which control physiological processes that are unique to higher metazoan animals such as regulation of immune system. Accomplishment: Gene expression splicing fidelity and efficiency were demonstrated for numerous genes expressed in transgenic mice in comparing to wild type mice by different methods – RNase protection RT-PCR Primer extension In situ hybridization. The results of this research have led to several publications - in Cell JBC and MBE. Acquired extensive experience in managing and supervising the research lab with graduate students technicians and assistants developed novel techniques for the lab and trained others 1996-1999 – Economist Mining company “Pluton” Kemerovo Russia Applied research: Data of hundreds of Russian and foreign mining companies were analyzed to estimate main factors that have influence on the profitability of gold mining enterprises. In collaboration with others worked out the Plan of Development of Gold Mining in Kemerovo Region for the years 1998-2010. Accomplishment: Theses of defense for Master’s Degree “Economic problems of gold mining in Russia” were published and presented to the Government of Russia for consideration of changes in legislature on gold mining in Russia. Acquired extensive experience in managing of funds equipment maintenance supplies human and material resources in the enterprise 1993-1996 – Environmental Manager Mining company “Vulkan” Gorny Altay Russia Applied research: Analyzed the best ways to protect environment at and after the development of gold deposits Accomplishment: The results of this research have led to the publication of 2- volume edition – “bench” book for environmental managers in mining companies. Acquired experience in managing the group of research technicians and assistants including managing of funds equipment supplies resources. Provided quality-control of mining activity of the enterprise and prepared reports to the controlling organizations 1992-1993 – Teacher of Biology and Chemistry Middle and High Scool “Zhemchuzhnaya” Shira Krasnoyarsky Kray Russia Accomplishment: Acquired extensive experience in teaching students of biology and chemistry 1986-1992 – Head Lab Technician/Research Associate Lab of Molecular Cytogenetics of Dr. Igor Zhymulov Institute of Cytology and Genetics Novosibirsk Russia Applied research: Using immunocytochemical methods and electron microscopy to study localization and function of surface antigens of brain cortex synaptosomes. Used combined behavioral cellular and molecular biological approaches to delineate the changes that underline simple forms of learning and memory. Accomplishment: Developed a new method of antigen identification on the reaction of immunoblot-strips by binding to colloidal gold-labeled antibodies. Worked out new procedures for preparing of colloidal gold and binding colloidal gold to antibodies that result in significant increasing of stability of Au-antibody complex. Stability of this complex becomes higher than ones for similar complexes prepared in other laboratories and companies. Prepared by this procedure colloidal gold-antibody complexes were delivered and successfully used in many research laboratories of Russia Moscow St.-Peterburg Novosibirsk Irkutsk and Lytva Vilnus. Worked out in collaboration with others new procedure for the significant decreasing of nonspecific interactions at the affinity chromatography and at the determination of protein localization by electron microscopy. Co-author on one publication resulting from this research. 1984-1986 – Lab Technician Lab of Fetoplacental Pathology of Dr. Nikolai Cyrelnikov Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine Novosibirsk Russia 1982-1984 – Lab Technician Lab of Genetic Engineering of Dr. Alexander Grachov Institute of Cytology and Genetics Novosibirsk Russia Accomplishment: Developed a novel assay which enables to determine antigen quantity in isolated cellular structures by means of affinity chromatography and spot-analysis 1981-1982 – Lab Technician Lab of Population Biology of Dr. Sergey Ivanov Institute of Biology Novosibirsk Russia PUBLICATIONS Bondareva A.A. and E.E.
