Brief Introduction
Ⅰ. The data in this chapter mainly show the development of Guangdong’s sports，public health，social welfare，environmental protection, safe production and other undertakings.
Ⅱ. The data are prepared by the Division of Population，Social，Scientific and Technological Statistics of Statistics Bureau of Guangdong Province.
Ⅲ. The data on sports mainly include the number of staff and workers in sports departments，mass sports and athletics sports，etc. The data are provided by Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Sports.
Ⅳ. The data on public health mainly include the number of health institutions，hospital beds and personnel，etc. The data are provided by Guangdong Provincial Department of Public Health.
Ⅴ. The data on social welfare mainly include the number of institutions，the number of persons receiving social welfare relief funds，grassroots social security in urban and rural areas and marriage registration status，etc. The data are provided by Guangdong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs
Ⅵ. The data on environmental protection mainly include water environment, atmospheric environment, ecological environment, urban environment, rural environment, natural disasters, the discharge, treatment and comprehensive utilization of waste water，waste gas and solid wastes， environment management and the improvement of environmental protection departments, etc. The data are provided by Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Environmental Protection.
Ⅶ. The rate of death from work safety accidents per 100 million yuan of GDP is provided by Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Work Safety.
VIII. Other data mainly include judicial conditions and basic statistics on traffic and fire accidents，etc. The data are provided by Guangdong Provincial Department of Justice and Guangdong Provincial Department of Public Security.
