Different nations may have different cultures.Culture in one nation is likely to be incomprehensible to people of most other nationalities.For example,Chinese humour can hardly get across to foreigners. So,how can we deal with different cultures?I think we can do as the folllowings: First, we should respect other cultures. Different culture have different features.Though different,they're all the treasures of human intelligent.They stand for the development of civilization.Second,it's better for us to learn more about other cultures.Once knowing more,we can understand others better and make less mistakes when communicating with people of different cultures.Last but not the least,as the old idiom says" when in Rome do as the Romans do". There may be many other things we can do between different cultures.But the most important ,I think,is the recognition and respect of each other. 2. One world With the rapid development of transportation means and the information technology the world is getting smaller and smaller. people are tighty conneted , it just seeems as if we were living in a world. we may easily find each other at any place and at any time. There is no distence between us. I mean the geographic distence is becoming less and less important. As the world becomes smaller and smaller, we begin to know more and more about the world around us, in contrast, they get to learn more about us, and finally we are quite familer with each other . We, people of the world, are one big family, for together we exist, and together we try to make the world better for all. 3. explaining processes We are often expected to give oral presentations to our classmates and teachers. Many students find giving an effective oral persentation difficult and stressful. Here there is some advice to made an effective presentation. Firstly , Before you make your presentation ,you must introduce yourself to the audience. And you topic must be attractive to let audience to accept you topic . your presentation must be simple. Everyone must have owe style, your owe style will make you get to successful. Secondly , The power of the presentation is from the message. We should organize information and ideas coherntly, and deliver the speech in a clear and vivid way. Using charts, photos and computer graphics can help us to make our presentations clear, interesting and memorable. Thirdly , your bodies language will decide you how to make a good presentation to the audience’s eyes . So your eyes、your hands、your stance and your speaking will be effect your presentation . Actually, as a speaker must take more time to practice. 4.memory Memory can be defined as the capacity to keep information available for later use. Everyone has a long-term memory and a short-term memory. A short-term memory is temporary, as it is stored for a very short time in the brain. In order to improve memory, the methods are a lot. Such as repeat things, invent a story, form a mental picture, take an interest and so on. In a word, memory is like a muscle- the more it is used, the better it gets. The more it is ignored, the worse it gets. 5.wealth Speaking of wealth, different people have different opinions. Some people believe that wealth is everything, it can help them realize their dreams. Wealth can buy beautiful houses, expensive cars and beautiful clothes,and so on. They even thought, money can buy spiritual happiness. On the other hand, some other people don’t agree with those people just mentioned . They believe that Healthy is more important than wealth. Health means no disease, no pain and no sad.with a healthy body you can do what you want to do and enjoying oneself. What is wealth? Wealth means different things to different people. Some people think that wealth is the "universal" in the money. Some people think that “Health is Wealth”. But there are common agreements that wealth must include these important factors such as being happy, healthy, and living in harmony with family and others.I think Wealth means:Wisdom, Ethics, Attitude, Love, Think, and Health. 6.anti-smoking we know smoking is not only waste of money but is also a danger to one’s health. And the dangerous not only to the smokers themselves but also the nonsmokers around them. Studies show that cigarette smokers are more likely to die from lung cancer than nonsmokers. Though everyone knows smoking is harmful to our health,but many people still smoke. Some youny people may have picked up smoking because of peer pressure or just out of curiosity, and they thought it was cool. Once you addicted to smoking,it will be hard to qiut the habit. To give up smoking, depends on smokers’ will and the support of their friends and families. In my opinion,smoking should be prohibited in all public places like elevators and restaurants and cafeterias. And I believe as people become more and more aware of the danger of passive smoking, few places left can smoking.
