It is ranked as Grade III Class A Hospital of TCM. The Third Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University of TCM, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine has appointed the hospital as the TCM Surgery Anorectal Continuing Education Base, Community Medicine Knowledge and Skills Training and Demonstration Base for Knowledge and Skills Training of Rural Chinese Medicine. It was designated as Training Base of General Practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Training Base of Practitioners Standardized of Chinese Medicine, Training Base of the Backbone Chinese Medicine Doctors of Yunnan Province. It is “Kunming Preparation Centre of TCM”.“ Advanced Group of National Health System”.“Advanced Group of TCM in Yunnan Province”. The hospital now owns three practice points in Kunming, including Dong Feng East Road Hospital, Cheng Gong New Zone Hospital, Guan Shang Branch Hospital. The total area: 160 acres, construction area: 165000 square meters with 1700 beds, setting up 23 clinical departments,11 medical departments,20 administrative function departments, 2 community health service stations. Hospital has a total of 1093 staff, including 132 senior professional title, 35 postgraduate supervisors, 133 Doctoral degree and Master's degrees holders. Kunming Cheng Gong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine invested 886 million, covers an area of 124 acres, with a total construction area of 129000 square meters. Currently, there are 400 beds start to use but there is a plan to establish 1000 bed capacity will be gradually put into use in 2015.Hospital facilities fully equipped, with a 1.5 T Magnetic Resonance, 64 layer Spiral CT, Color Doppler Ultrasound and Automatic Biochemical Analyzer, Molybdenum Target and other large Medical Equipment, clinical common facilities and conventional equipment effectively provide the medical services. Our hospital has focused on promoting the treatment of special diseases in specific TCM departments. Gradually, some advantage subjects have been started to introduce and train a batch of academic leaders and expert teams with remarkable professional characteristics and academic standing within and outside Yunnan Province. Currently, the hospital has 31 specific disease treating departments at the State, Province and Municipal levels, with 3 of the research centers being located in the provincial level.
