Xi’an is recognized as one of the most important cities in China, both historically and currently. Xi’an, called Chang'an in ancient times , has been the capital region for 13 dynastic periods. It also has been the eastern end of the Silk Road(丝绸之路),so Xi'an was the first chinese city to open up its doors to the ancient world.Xi’an is surrounded by natural beauty, including rivers, mountains, plains, and rolling hills. Xian records the great changes of the chinese nation just like a living history book.
