of software
I. General guidelines for use/Warranty
1. Customers receive SEW-EURODRIVE software free of charge and as a special service. The enclosed software has been generated and tested thoroughly at SEW-EURODRIVE. However, based on the complexity of the software and our product offers, it is nearly impossible to develop software solutions that run without any errors in all applications and are absolutely complete. Please note that the information contained in technical data, descriptions, figures and drawings, dimension and weight information is subject to change even if it refers to DIN and/or other standards. The same holds true for prices. However, any information is binding only if the data has been confirmed by SEW-EURODRIVE for any particular piece of information. Otherwise, there can be no warranty extended that the data is complete, correct and up to date.
2. There may be no alteration, reverse engineering, further development or translation of the software except where legally permissible.
II. Liability
1. SEW-EURODRIVE is liable only for damages resulting from the installation or use of this software, if these damages were incurred by gross negligence or intention of SEW-EURODRIVE or its agents.
2. SEW-EURODRIVE explicitly is not liable for any problems arising from entering the wrong data based on
- misunderstood prompts
- incorrect input data
- incorrect or imprecise default values.
Only qualified personnel can enter the corresponding data as well as the correct result from several proposed solutions. The software will make certain recommendations but will not make the decision for you! Feel free to contact a specialist at SEW-EURODRIVE in case you have any questions.
3. SEW-EURODRIVE is not liable for the lack of economic success, lost profits, indirect damages, indirect losses due to defects and claims by third parties except claims based on the violation of third party industrial property rights.
III. Other
Any legal matters of the parties involved are subject to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany with the exception of the uniform sales laws. The place of jurisdiction is Bruchsal, the location of SEW-EURODRIVE headquarters.
