形容词和副词的比较级
I. 表示倍数的常见句型:
1.This line is four times as long as that one.
This line is three times longer than that one.
This line is four times the length of that one. _______
Tips: 用time 表示倍数,一般只限于表示包括基数词在内3倍或三倍以上的数表示两倍可用twice或double.
2. 有时比较对象可省略:
The house rent is expensive. I’ve got about half the space I had at home and I’m paying three times as much here.

1.原级比较:
This picture is as beautiful as that one.
This picture is not as/so beautiful as that one.
2. 比较级:
My brother is taller than LiPing.
3. 特殊用法:
1). The more tickets you sell, the more money you will get.
2). He is becoming fatter and fatter.
The new city is becoming more and more beautiful.

no less…than…
e.g. Mary is no more careful than Tom.
Mary is no less careful than Tom.
2. no more than= only not more than= at most
no less than= as much/many as not less than= at least
3. 修饰比较级最高级的词常见的有:rather, much, still, even, far, a lot, a little,
a great deal, by far, a bit…
e.g. The students study even harder than before.
4. 比较级的对象应相同:
e.g. The weather here is warmer than that of Shanghai.
5. 比较级的对象不能相互包容:
e.g. China is larger than any country in Africa.
China is larger than any other country in Asia.
