It contains important information regarding your warranty, safe installation and use as well as a troubleshooting guide. We also urge you to save the carton, packing and proof of purchase to simplify and accelerate any needed action. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose this product to rain or any type of moisture. If accidentally dropped into water, this product should be immediately unplugged from the wall jack. To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, the basic safety precautions list below should be observed: 1. Read and understand all instructions. 2. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product. 3. Unplug this product from the wall jack before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning. 4. Do not use this product near water; for example, near a bath tub, washbowl, kitchen sink, or laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool. Never spill liquid of any kind on this product. 5. Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, or table tub. The product may fall, causing it serious damage. 6. Slots or openings in the cabinet, back, and bottom are providing for ventilation to protect the product from overheating. The openings should never be blocked by placing the product on a bed or other similar surface. This product should not be placed near or over a radiator or heat register. 7. Never push objects of any kind into this product through cabinet slots. They may touch dangerous voltage points or short out parts that could cause a fire or electric shock. 8. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble this product. If some service is required, take the telephone to qualified service technician. 9. Opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltages or other risks. Incorrect reassembling can cause electric shock when the appliance is subsequently used. 10. Under the following conditions, unplug this product from the wall jack and seek qualified service assistance: A. When the telephone line cord or its plug is damaged or frayed. B. If liquid is spilled into the product. C. If the product is exposed to rain or water. D. If the product does not operate normally when following the operating instructions. Improper adjustment of other controls may result in damage and will often require extensive work by a qualified technician to restore the product to normal operation. E. If the product has been dropped or the cabinet has been damaged. 11. Avoid using a telephone (other than a cordless type) during an electrical storm. There may be remote risk of electric shock from lightning. 12. Do not use the telephone in the vicinity of a gas leak. Use another telephone extension away from the gas leak to report the leak. Insert the modular plugs of the coiled handset cord into the jack of the handset and into the jack at the side of the telephone base. 2. Insert the modular plug of the straight line cord into the modular jack at the top of the telephone base. OPERATION SETTING UP 1.Set the dial mode To select Pulse or Tone mode switch to PULSE or TONE at the side of base unit. Please contact your local telephone company. 2.Adjust speakerphone volume Slide the volume control at the side of the unit, you can easily adjust the volume of the speakerphone. 3.Ringer switch Select the ringer to HI, LOW or OFF as desired. 4.One-touch memory stored Pick up handset or press SP-PHONE button, press STORE button, then input the number desired to store, press STORE again, at last press memory location M1 …M8 key button to end. You can also change the memory as this way.
