most people will choose the latter. but what will be your choice if the cost is laying your lover among the risks? what will it be if the cost is you can never tell the girl, who you love so much, that you love her? the spider man had this contradiction. but finally he still chose the latter, not in order to be a hero, but to make this word peaceful. i was so moved by the words the aunt mary said: you will never guess what he wants to be, the spider man. he knows the hero when he sees one, too a few characters out there, flying all around out there, saving old girls like me. lord knows kids like henry need hero courageous, sacrificing for people, setting examples for all of us. everybody loves a hero. people enthrone them, cheer them, scream their names and years later they will tell how they stood in the rain for hours just to get a glimpse the one who taught them to hold on to stand longer. i believe there is a hero in all of us. they keep us be honest, give us strength, make us noble, and finally allow us to die with proud. ever though sometimes we have to initiatively give up the thing we want most, even our dreams. spider man did that for henry, so he wants to know where he is gone. he needs him. the spider man got much from these words, so did i. and what about you? what,s the hero lying in you?简爱英语读后感300字英语读后感(3) | 返回目录 this is a story about a special and unreserved woman who has been exposed to a hostile environment but continuously and fearlessly struggling for her ideal life. the story can be interpreted as a symbol of the independent spirit. i dont know what others feel, but frankly speaking, i would rather regard the section that jane began her teaching job in thornfield as the films end----especially when i heard janes words never in my life have i been awaken so happily. for one thing, this ideal and brand-new beginning of life was what jane had been imagining for long as a suffering person; for another, this should be what the audiences with my views hoped her to get. but the professional judgment of producing films reminded me to wait for a totally different result: there must be something wrong coming with the excellence----perhaps not only should another section be added to enrich the story, but also we may see from the next transition of janes life that life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you would get. 《鲁宾孙漂流记》英语读后感英语读后感(4) | 返回目录It seemed to be such a coincidence that the night after I finished reading The Life And Adventures Of Robinson Crusoe, I was to dine in a restaurant distinctly related to the book itself. This restaurant was no other than the famous American-styled “Friday’s.” The reason for mentioning this restaurant is quite straightforward to all the gentlemen, ladies and children who have read the novel and enjoyed it, which is the fact that this restaurant was, most likely, named after the American Native in Robinson Crusoe, called Friday. This restaurant offers very exceptional service, for instance when the waitresses are asked to order dishes they kneel rather than stand, which, unlike the other restaurants I have been to, makes it easier for the customers to hear them speak. Moreover, Friday’s friendly services to the customers help them to make better choices when ordering dishes. I remembered when I went to Friday’s last time; the waitress kindly described the items on the menu with precise details. It turned out that the combo I initially wanted was designed to be shared among a large group, not to be eaten by one person. I think this restaurant shows many commendable features similar to that of Friday.Friday brought emotional warmth to the people around him with his appealing personality. I think it was this personality that affected Crusoe and made him say that he loved Friday when Crusoe didn’t express love for his parents, brothers, sisters, or even his wife. “When he espied me, he came running to me, laying himself down again upon the ground, with all the possible signs of an humble, thankful disposition, making many antic gestures to show it„to let me know how he would serve me as long as he lived.” This was what Friday did after Crusoe had rescued him from the two savages chasing him. It was easy for me to see why Crusoe had loved Friday. After sometime, Crusoe and Friday were to rescue Friday’s father. When Friday reunited with his father, the scene was easy to move anyone: “It would have moved anyone to tears to have seen how Friday kissed him, embraced him, hugged him, cried, laughed, halloed, jumped about, danced, sung; and then sung and jumped about again, like a distracted creature. It was a good while before I could make him speak to me.” This is my favourite chapter in the whole book. It is hard to see why Friday is an ex-savage when he can have personalities more praiseworthy than many civilized people, viz. Crusoe himself. “When he (Friday) went to him (Friday’s father), he would sit down by him, open his breast, and hold his father’s head close to his bosom, half an hour together, to nourish it; then he took his arms and ankles, which were numbed and stiff with the binding, and rubbed them with his hands.” Furthermore, Friday’s expression of loyalty in asking Crusoe to kill him rather than leave him is more heartfelt than anything Crusoe ever says or does. Crusoe, on the absolute contrary, seems incapable of deep feelings, as shown by his account of leaving his family—he never shows any emotions. After a moving lecture from Robinson’s father about his future, he still decided to follow his own wandering ambition. Careless was he about the wishes of his parents to keep him alive and prosperous, as he was the only child left in the family. When he came back from the island which he had lived on for twenty eight years, he found that it had been too late to tell his parents that he was still alive, but yet again he did not feel sorry for them; he also did not feel sorry for the two people who had to live in misery for nearly thirty years under the allusion all of their sons were dead. He had the same feelings for his wife: when he was married, he said it was “not either to my disadvantage or dissatisfaction”, implying that it was also neither to his advantage nor his satisfaction. Moreover, after his wife died, Robinson did not think of looking after the three children they had, but went back to the island, which he had lived on for twenty-eight years. It was on this trip which Robinson Crusoe revisited “His Island” as he called it. I feel that Robinson’s indifference to his family is almost emotionally cruel. Befoe had clearly shown the contrast between Crusoe’s and Friday’s personalities, as when Friday, in his joyful reunion with his father, displayed far more emotion toward his family members than Crusoe, whereas Crusoe never mentions missing his family or dreams about the happiness of seeing them again. I think Defore is very successful in introducing Friday as part of the novel, it makes the whole novel seem much more complete and gripping to the reader, as well as proving that Defoe’s ideology of racism is civilized unlike many other Europeans at that time; natives and savages are not worse than others but can perhaps even be more modern and civilized. Those are the reasons of why I like The Life And Adventures Of Robinson Crusoe and Friday. 英语读后感1000字英语读后感(5) | 返回目录 范文一 mr. brownlow is one such person. the other day he had one of his elaborate watches stolen by two skilled teenage thieves, artful dodger and charley bates, and thought naturally it was oliver, who was an orphan and forced to live with a gang of thieves, that had done it because he was the only one near by after the theft had taken place. being wrathful, he caught oliver, and sent him to the police station where the ill-tempered, unfair magistrates worked. fortunately for him, oliver was proved innocent by one onlooker afterwards. with sympathy, mr. brownlow took the injured, poor oliver to his own home. there oliver lived freely and gleefully for some months as if he were mr. brownlows own son. one day, however, mr. brownlow asked oliver to return some books to the bookseller and to send some money for the new books that he had already collected. the thief oliver once stayed with kidnapped him. after that he disappeared in mr. brownlows life. searching for a while, mr. brownlow had to believe the fact that he had run away with his money. but dramatically, they came acroeach other again a few years later. without hesitation, mr. brownlow took oliver home for the second time not caring if he had done something evil. perhaps most of us would feel confused about mr. brownlows reaction. but as a matter of fact, this is just the lesson we should learn from him. jesus said in the bible. forgive not seven times, but seventy-times seven. why is that? because forgiveneis our ability to remove negative thoughts and neutralize them so our energy may be spent on doing what we came here for. we cannot move forward in our future if past issues cloud our thinking. stop put mr. brownlow into the list of your models. always give people a second chance no matter what they might have done. thats also a substantial part of loving and caring others. then there are mrs. maylie and rose, olivers other benefactors. maybe the reason they loved and cared oliver was not because of forgiveness. in my point of view, it was trust. they had faith in oliver when he was considered to be a filthy burglar who tried to break the front door of maylies at midnight. but this wasnt how these two ladies saw the whole thing. they denied olivers crime immediately and listened attentively to olivers own description of his miserable life. they were deeply touched by olivers strong perseverance and astonishing vitality. accordingly, they remedied olivers body and heart and turned him into a different boy. he began to wear appropriate and clean suits which were tailor-made for him and receive education. as far as we can see, it is trust that helps us all live together without precaution. sometimes trust can even lead us to miracles, which we often expect to come about, so why not trust? trust yourself, trust others, and youll salute miracles every single day. in the novel, though the young oliver again and again fell for conspiracies of those hideous thieves, who tried to torture olivers body and poisoned olivers heart intensely, he always lived on and tried hard to seek for his own life. then i realized what supported him all through were actually beliefs. in most cases, what you believe is what youll become. believe that you are unlimited, that you can do anything you commit to doing, and when you do, your accomplishments will know no bounds. you control your beliefs and that is how you ultimately control your life. its all dictated by your attitude. in the final analysis, love and care contain numerous forms, there are love of forgiveness, love of trust, etc. but they all come from your beliefs in life. when someone tells you hes deceived you, forgive him anyway, when someone tells you what hes done, trust him anyway, and when you face adversities while chasing your dreams, think about your beliefs, then what hinders you will become a piece of cake in no time. 范文二 learn to love and care here i am sitting on a couch alone, thinking about what i have just finished reading with tears of sadnefilling my eyes and fire of indignation filling my heart, which revived my exhausted soul that has already been covered by the cruelty and the selfishneof the secular world for a long time. it is truly what i felt after reading oliver twist, written by the prominent british author charles dickens. the resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindneand the wickedneof all the characters in the novel, but what this aloof society lacks, and what i lack deep inside. these supreme resources im talking about right now are somewhat different from minerals, oil that we usually mention. theyre abstract like feelings, and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another love and care. those charitable figures whom dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life. they showed love and care to others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth, which was carved into my heart deeply. 英语小说读后感100字英语读后感(6) | 返回目录 英语小 说老人与海读后感100字 on summer vacation of this year, i studied in novel old man and sea of hemingway , famous writer of u.s.a. ,. i admire the old fisherman's will in the novel very much, he lets me understand that a person must have unremitting spirit, could succeed . what the novel is described is an old fisherman almost the sixty years old, when go to sea and fish alone once, have angled to a big fish, but can not draw. after tough fisherman and fish have socialized for a few days, just find this is a big malin's fish which exceeds several times of one's own fishing boat, though know perfectly well that it is very difficult to win , does not give up yet. 名著《圣女贞德》英语读后感英语读后感(7) | 返回目录 learn to live my thoughts after reading joan of arc sunshine shines over the statue in orleans. the ordinary but famous girl named joan is riding on her horse, smiling and looking down at the land that she has loved and fought on. she is the heroine of france, the saint from heaven. her influences shine over every persons heart, and i am deeply impressed by her story. when louis xiii was the king, the british and the burundians invaded france and wanted to have the northern part of france. joan helped french people coronate their new king, louis xiv, getting almost all the invaded land back with the help of three saints. but after that, she was caught by the burundians and was burnt on a cross by her enemy. this is the famous story about joan, the saint. from a village girl to a national heroine, she only used a few years. how could joan of arc do that? i wonder. someone says the saints have chosen her and the god has given her power. but actually the real virgin doesnt exist, from the birth of jesus christ in the first century, people have controlled the christianity. i think the religion has become a tool between people. this kind of opinion about the success of joan must be wrong. someone said, joan had this wonderful success because of her confidence and will. i quite agree with this opinion. because there arent any virgins in the world, so i think the appearance of the saints was only in joans mind, actually nothing special happened to joan. i think the things which really mattered were joans thoughts. in my opinion, joan must have some military ability to lead the whole army, because of her unusual image, joan became more confident to the success. it let joan had the will to be successful. so the success before did not happen by accident,. after some battles, joan said that she had lost her support from the saints, but actually this didnt mind. the more important thing was that she had lost her confidence and will, so she lost the battle at last. so i think confidence and will are just like the foundation of success. all the success depends on them. in the real world, confidence and will is always very important. during the xx athens olympic games, li ting and sun tiantian have won the gold medal for the womens double in the tennis game. it was the first time our anthem playing on the tennis court. some medium says that they have won by chance. it was only a fairy tale. but i dont think so. actually they have won because of their believing in themselves, because they have confidence and will, so they have created a fairy tale in greece. their confidence and will have made the success, not by accident. in our daily life, we must have confidence and will as well. before the test we need to be confident to our actual strength or well not give full play to our initiative. we need to be confident when we are speaking in public or others will not remember you among all the speakers. we need to have will in studying or well not learn things solidly. we need to have will in our daily life or well give up the things we are doing now. if we have confidence and will in our daily life, then i believe youll live brighter. in this story, i also have some other opinions about some other scenes. for instance, i dont like the way the saints treated joan when joan forgot the birthday of virgin mary. i think they have to give some time for her to explain herself. i like the way that joan proved herself bravely as a female. i think the most important thing is not the differences in ***, but your views to this really matter. so learn from this story, learn joans braveness and her pureness, and learn to believe yourself, and get rid of all the bad habits and personalities of the characters in this story. we can avoid to be a coward, to be selfish and fatuous. then every good personality we learn will be a blooming flower in our garden of heart and well live with a life full of fragrantce!
