AbstractThecrudeproteincontentsinmantellumoffourkindsoffreshwatermusselweredeterminedandthe
aminoacids(AA)wereanalyzed.Atomicabsorptionandplasmaabsorptionspectroscopywereusedtodetermine
thecontentsof12metalelementsinthefreshwatermussels.Theresultsshowedthattheproteincontentsin
driedmusselare41.34%forHyriposiscumingiiHea,22.03%forAnodontawoodianapacificaHeude,
32.1496forCristariaplicataLeach,and7.78%forLawprotulaLeai.Allofthefourmusselscontain17kinds
ofAA.Amongthe12analyzedelementsinthefreshwatermussels,thecontentsofCuarethehighest,thecon-
tentsofFe,Mn,Mg,Ca,ZnandCrarelessthanthoseofCu,whereasthecontentsofNi,Co,Pb,andHgaretlte
