Unit 1 My job sounds strange because you really don’t hear people say that very often. But I really do. I love the company I work for and I love what I do. I’m working in a state-owned enterprise as a engineer of data center building. My duty is to design and guide construction in a project . The reasons make me love my job so much are firstly, in my job, I can meet a lot of people, they are coming from different companies and let me know different ways of thinking. Secondly, through the business discussion with the customers, I practiced my reasoning and communicating abilities, and I believe all these will benefit me a lot even in other areas of my life. Last but not the least, the company which I’m working for is a good company with good ethic and credits, colleagues around are also very kind and friendly. Because of all these make me really enjoy my working everyday. I love my job and enjoy working in my company. Unit 2 Internet With the developement of tecknowledge,internet has becoming more and more important and people seem to enjoy it greatly. Since the Internet has brought many conveniences to people, more and more people are getting into the work of developing the Internet. As a result, the speed of the development of the Internet is becoming faster and faster. Since we have Internet, our life changes a lot. Firstly, we can obtain knowledge from Internet. There are numerous web sites contains different knowledge relating to skills or theories. If we want to learn certain things, the entire thing we have to do is to click mouse and then we will get the information we want. Beside, lots of people put lots of short video on Internet to teach others.Secondly, by Internet, we can contact anyone we want. Internet offers us a passage to contact with others by some applications. The only thing we need to do is to download some soft wares and install them so that we can contact with our families or friends. Besides, we can use many free resources by checking the Internet. All in all, Internet gives us a platform to learn knowledge and contact others. We are benefit a lot from the Internet. Unit 3 Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the world. With the development of industry and agriculture, cars make GR Eat noises and give off poisonous gas. Trees on the hills have been cut down, and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers. Furthermore, wherever we go today, we can find rubbish carelessly disposed. The whole ecological balance of the earth is changing. Massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to man's existence. We must face the situation that exists and take actions to solve our environmental problems. For instance, new laws must be passed to place strict control over industrial pollution, the public must receive the education about the hazard of pollution and so on. We hope that all these measures will be effective and bring back a healthful environment. Unit 7 Trust As is known to all, mutual trust is the basis of human interaction. Our family life, work and life can not be separated from the trust. Modern society needs trust. First, we should believe in family, so family will be harmonious. Secondly, we must believe that our colleagues, so that the work will be smooth, and finally, we should believe that the country, so that our nation will unite the strong. Trust is crucial and indispensable in maintaining a relationship. Without trust, we cannot get along well with other people, let alone cooperate with them or get help from them. People are social animals. Without interacting with other people, life would be dull and meaningless. Unit 11 Energy Reform With the development of society and economy, human demand for energy is on the increase, but the earth of coal, oil, natural gas and the non-renewable resources but declining, at the same time these fuels also brought great influence on the environment. So this is pressing for the various countries the line energy reform, the development of new energy. And biological energy its renewable, low pollution advantages become global focus on the development of new energy. it was reported that many traditional mineral cities in northeastern China had run into predicament, with their economy collapsed and workers unemployed, only because coal had been mined out. The question of whether the government can do for energy consideration is to increase is to increase the price of gasoline and electricity is one that has concerned many people. First and foremost, government can solve the problem by invest money to explore new energy resource。Furthermore, government can also raise the public consciousness of the energy conservation. Last but not the least, encouraging and help companies to explore energy-conserving products can make people use resource reasonably. In my opinion, we should support the energy reform, first of all to save energy. Secondly, we want to tell our friends,the importance of the reform of the energy. Only in this way, our country will be getting better and better. Unit 14 Computer-A Good Friend As we known, computers are widely used in modern society. We use the computer to work, to buy things ,to connect our friends ,to watch tv and so on ,it play an more and more important role in our daily life. People often use the computer to find something good for their work or study, by surfing the Internet ,they can learn a lot and make a great progress . When we are boring,we can use the computer to watch the entertainment tv and listen to the music. We can get anything you want from internet. Actually we can go shopping on internet as the real world, because many people have business on internet .That’s a good way of some lazy guy to go shopping without going to outside. In one word, computer is really important in our life now, Let's get some fun from computer and enjoy it!
