西方社会思潮。我们应该去其糟粕,取其精华,为更好的建设有中国特色的社会主义社会做出贡献。关键词西方思潮;中国青年;负面影响;对策IntroductionLikeawave,globalizationintenselyimpactsthecultureofthenationsallovertheworldandarousescultureinfiltration.Astheascendantculture,westernethoscomesintoChinaandinfluencesworldview,valuesandphilosophyoflifeofChinesedeeply(Robertson,R,1992).InthecourseofreformandopeningtotheoutsideworldinChina,westernethos,thickashail,ismakingeveryefforttoaffecttheideasandactionsofChineseinvariousaspects,especiallytheyouthofChina.Inthepastonehundredyears,itseemsthatpeopleacceptwesternsocialethicinsensiblyfromwesternfilms,music,literatureandsoon.Itishardtosaywhetherthistrendistheintentionallyinfiltrationornot,butitisfactthatthewesternethosenterintoChinawithgoodandevil.(DuanZhongqiao,2001).Therefore,itisnecessaryforustostudythesedistinctivefeaturesofwesternethosandit’sspreadinginChina,aswellastheinfluenceofwesternethosuponChineseyouth.TheeffectivecountermeasuresshouldbetakentopromotetheeducationofChineseyouth,andthefurtherstudyshouldalsobedoneinthefuture.I.TheOverviewofWesternEthosWesternethosisbasedonwesternpeople’ssocietymentality,whichisheldbysomeauthorityandtakesplaceinspecificallyhistoricalsituation.Theideal,wish,benefitandrequirementofcertainclassesorcastesareexpresseddynamically(XingBensi,2003).Theevolutionofwesternethosiscomplicatedandithasitsdistinctivefeatures.A.RoleandSpreadofWesternEthosWesternethosisthemirrorofwesternsociety.Thereflectionorreechoinconceptoftheuneasythatiscausedbythedevelopmentofwesterncountiesiswesternethos(WangMin,2005).Whensocialcontradictionmovementaffectspeople’smindandarousebreakingofsubculture,thenthebrokenmentalitybecomemeaningfulforsomepeoplewhohasthesamementaltrend.Thebrand-newtrendanditscorrespondingideologyareequaltoethosthatiswide-spreadedanddeep-responded.Instructure,ethosiscognition,considerationandjudgmentsofsociety.Westernethosiscomedownbycolonyspread.Ethosisfitforthepracticedrequirementofthisgroupofpeople,andcanbedevelopedbythecognition,acceptationandembraceofthesepeople(Russell,B,1946).Thatisthereasonwhytheethoscancontrolpeopleandinfluencethedevelopmentofsociety.Therefore,westernethoscomprehensivelyexpresspeople’commonwishesandbeneficrequirements.B.FunctionofWesternEthosWesternethosistheweatherglassthatshowstheclimateofwesternpolitics,economyandculture.Marxismtellsusthateverythingischangeableanddevelopmentalatanytimeandanywhere,sowesternethosalsoischangeableanddevelopmental(ZhangZhicang,2003).Somedependableethoslastingforseveralcenturies;someoncerightethoschangeintowrongtoday.Toaccountforthementionedabovephenomenon,severaleffectshavebeenputforward.Tobeginwith,theethos’existenceisdecidedbymodeofproductionandproductivity.Inaddition,ethosreflectspeople’sconsciousness,leveloftheory,trendofmentality.C.PoliticalfeatureandComplicationofWesternEthosMarxsaid:classbrandseverythinginclasssociety.Inclasssociety,nomatterwhichside,suchasbirthcondition,background,contentortrend,allofthem,includingitself,havetoberelatedtopolitics(ZhangZhicang,2003).Ofcourse,thoseethoseshavedifferentinfluenceandcharacterindifferentclasses,timesandareas.Thecomplicationofsocialbeingdeterminesthecomplicationofthecontentsandcharactersofethos.Becausesocialbeingareexpressedbysocialconsciousness.Invariousandcomplicatedwesternethoses,somecanpromotesocietytobebetter,somedothereaction;Someethoseshavenegativeinfluence,andsomecannotbeknownquitewellatthebeginningofitsearlydays,butonlycanbeconcludedbytime.II.MainFeaturesofWesternEthosinChinaAfter“theopeninguptotheoutsideworld”becameabasicpolicyinChina,ourcountryhasmoreandmorechancestocommunicatewithforeigncountriesfrequently,andofcoursewegainmuchmoreinfluencesfromoutsideworldatthesametime,suchaswesternethos.Therefore,thenewphenomenonthatwesternethosinfiltrateintoourtraditionalculturehasbecomeobvious.Sincethelastseveraldecades,ourcountrystrengthenscooperationwithforeigncountriesinscience,culture,publications,soalargenumberoftranslatedworksaboutforeignpolitics,economyandculturearebroughtin,asthedevelopmentofmultimedia,literature,movies,teleplaysanddramasindifferenttypesareintroducedinChinaeasily.ThesecommunicationsinideologyaremeaningfulforChinayouthtoenrichknowledge,activistlearningandopenupthinking.Alsothiscooperationpromotescultural,ideologicalandmaterialprogresstoahigherlevel.Butwestillhavetobeperceptiveoftheslightestthatthediscordbetweencapitalismandsocialism.Becauseofvariousreasons,oursocialismsocietyisstillintheprimarystageandhasalongwaytogo.Atthesametime,rottingcapitalismneverstoptoadjustitsbasiccontradictionanditisstillstrongenoughtoattractingothernations.Therefore,capitalismchangedbattlefromshootingwartoideologyattacking:‘peacefulevolution’hasbecomethemainmeasuretodestroysocialism(LiZhengchen,1991).Foryouthofournation,theyarethefutureofourcountry,thiskindofattractionisextremedangerous.DuringthetimeofexternalopeninginChina,westernethoshasvariousinfluencesonChinesethroughtheinfiltrationofitscapitalisticlifestyle,modeofthinkingandbehavioralnorm,whichworsenthesituationdescribedabove.Meanwhile,wehavetobeawareofthatcapitalismnevergivesupthestrategytoconquerthesocialism.A.RapidSpreadRecently,asthestageforcommunication,spreadchannelsbecomewiderandwider.Thefastdevelopmentofmediahasofferedalargeroomforpeopleallovertheworldtocommunicateeasily.Inaddition,multimediatechnologyismoreandmorepopular.Moreover,youtharemucheasiertoacceptnewcomeethosbecausetheirmindsarealwaysactive.B.DisorderWesternethosesinChinaaremixedupwithgoodandevil.Toexplainthissituation,theprimalreasonisduetotheblindimportofwesternadvancedandnewthings.InthebeginningofexternalopeninginChina,wecompletelyignoredtoanalyzeandcriticizewesternethos,butintroducedthewesternadvancedandnewthingsintoChinablindly.Sosomeundesirableresultscameoutunexpectedly.Forinstance,many-facetedsubject,variousethosesandacademicdifferenceswerebroughtin.ThemostnotablefeatureofwesternethosspreadintoChinaisthatnotonlythecontentismixed,butalsothespreadwayisdisorderly.SpreadmethodSpreadcontentSpreadapproachbysinglepeoplephilosophybythegovernmentbyorganizationpoliticsbyfolkbypubliceconomyeducationartreligionIII.NegativeInfluenceofWesternEthosonChineseYouthWiththedevelopmentofopeningtotheoutsideworld,theimpactsonChineseyouthinChinabythewesternethosesaredeepeningprogressively.ThethoughtofadmiringwesternideologyhasalreadyrootedinsomeChineseyouth’spoliticalview,outlookonlifeandvalues.Meanwhile,thinkingaboutthecontemporarywesternethosreflectsthatChineseyoutharefacingalargernumberofproblems.Amongtheseethoses,notonlyincludenewknowledgebutalsocontainthevariousthinkingmethodandresearchapproach,whichareabundantforyouth'ssocialknowledgeandcanwidentheirthinkingrealfield.Meanwhile,Chineseeconomicreformislastingformorethantwentyyearsandhasmadeagreatsuccess,andthisisduetothereplacementofoldconceptsbynewones,whichhasbeeninlinewiththeadvancingofmodernscience,technologyandtherequirementofsocialistcommodityeconomy(ZhangQuanxin,2005).Inthiscourse,westernethosplaysacertainroleinforcingyouth'sthoughtviewtotransformtoapositiveexpectation.Moreover,thecontemporarywesternethosisregardedasthemirrorofthecontemporarywesternsociety.Tosomecertainextent,ethosesreflectthedevelopmentofwesternsocietyandofferussomevaluablethoughtmaterials.However,whenfacingtheimpactofwesternethos,someyouthcannotdistinguishthegoodfromevil,thuscausingconfusioninvalueandpoliticalattitude,whichmakessomeunnecessaryfaultonthoughtandbehavior.A.GoingwiththeMainStreamBlindlyGoingwiththestreamisapopularphenomenonthatwideexistsinsocietyandindividuals,whichalsogosteadilyinyouth.Someyoungpeoplewereinfluencedbythiskindofmentalstatewhiletheyweregettingintouchwithorstudyingwesternethoses.Someyouthsreadrepresentativeworksofwesternethosforfollowingfashionbutnotintentionofstudying.Someyouthsseeotherpeopleliketalkingaboutwesternethos,butheisvacantintheextent;sohelooksforandreadsrelevantbooksonlyinordertogetapprovalbyhisfriendsthroughthisactionandenrichthecontentthattheytalkabout.Asaresult,hecouldbeproudofhimself.Someyouthsposeasfashionableforhisfollowingofnewethos,theylikekickinguparowandobeyingwhatpointsappearfresh.Amongyouths,therisingandreplacementofeachkindofhottopichavecloserelationtotheirenthusiasmfornovelty,excitement,warmemotionaswellastheirextremethoughts(ZhangFanshen,1989).Thesefactorsmakeyouthtobuildamentalbarrierfromhowtoknownewobjectivecorrectly,whichmakeyouthfollowwesternethoswithoutaimsandtakeonthefeaturesthathighsensitivity,fastacceptationandlessanalysis;Thesementalfeaturesleadyouthtoagreewithwesternethosone-sidelyanduseittoevaluaterealitylife;attractingyouthstolosebalancebetweendreamandreality.B.UnwarrantableRebellionYouthhoodisaperiodinwhichbothbodyandmentalityaredevelopingandtendingmaturegradually.Inthisperiod,youthpresentsaseriesofchangesinmentalityandbody;factorandcondition.Aftertheopeningtotheoutsideworld,alargeamountofwesternethoseswiththeirstrongattractionandinfluencearepouringinsuddenly,strengtheningyouth'srebellionfurther.Therefore,specialcontradictionpsychologicalconditionsofyoutharegrownup.Ontheonehand,someyoungmenarediscontentedwithsocialreality,resisteverythingblindlyandrefusetotakeanyadvancedideology.InsomeChineseyouth’sviews,China'straditionalcultureissomesortofparasiteandcancer;Moralandpoliticaleducationisameaninglesspreaching;themainstreamcustomwhichsocietyadvocatesisthepronounoffallingbehind(WangHansong,1997).Thesekindsofsuspiciousandnegativethinkingwayhinderyouthtodistinguishandjudgethingscorrectly.Ontheotherhand,suchexcessiveoppositementalityprovidesopenspacebetweentheirheartandmindandmaketheyfeeldowninfrontofrealisticconflict,whichmakesthemtransfertoorgiveastrongerinterestonwesternethos,andexpressapositiveattitudeinacceptingthosetheoriesthatarecontrarytomajorculture.Someyouthregardwesternthoughtviewastheirownthoughtandthemainstandardtocriticizerealistic;theyregardcapitalistdemocracy,freedom,humanrightsastheirmottofalsely;theyhavetotallyobscuredtheessentialdistinctionbetweensocialistdemocracyandcapitalistdemocracy(ZhangCongyi,2004).Morethanworse,someyoungmenwhoundertheextremementalityacceptwesternethostotallywithoutanyquestion.C.BelievinginAuthorityBlindlyItisawidespreadmentalphenomenoninyouththattakingauthoritiesandfamousperson’swordsasscientificthesisortheruleoflife(ZhangFanshen,1989).Ontheonehand,theydonotwanttobelieveother’stheorieseasilyandpayagreatattentiontodiscoverbythemselves;ontheotherhand,theyadoreauthoritiesandwanttobeauthorities.Withthesetworeasons,theyareinfluencedbywhattheyconstantlyseeandhear.Inaddition,thecomplicatedwesternethosexpandsthedifficultyforthemtounderstand.Therefore,youthbecomethecontradictionwhenfightingagainsttoauthoritiesformallyoradoringauthoritiesfactually,whichproducestheprejudiceonstudyingwesternethos.Theblindnessinadoringauthoritiesmakesyouthschoosewesternethosunscientificallyandoptionally.D.IndividualismfromtheWesternWiththedevelopmentofyoungpeople'segoconsciousness,theyhopethattheycanexplorelifeandsocietyindependently.Buttheirjudgmentsstillarepuerileandtheyliketothinkalone,itishardforthemtograspessencewhentheymeetdifficultsocialproblems.Therefore,theyoftenhopetoseekhelpwithavailabletheories.Ontheotherside,westernsocialideologyinfluenceyouth'sconsciousnessbytheirstrongacademiccolor;strengthentheconflictbetweenidealandrealistic,thischangingappearsinthedevelopmentofyouth’smentality.SomeyoungpeopleareappreciateNietzscheanvoluntarismandsupermanphilosophy,theytake‘designself-realizeself-selfstruggle’astheonlyformulaforsuccess,andtheyclaimthatsocietyshouldcreateconditionsforrealizingself-value,collectiveshouldsupportrealizingself-value,individualshouldworkhardforrealizingself-value(Freud,S,1950).Asaresult,thiskindofinfluencedonotonlyweakenyouth’sabilitytoremovesegoconsciousness,butalsohindersyouthfromevaluatingself-valuecorrectly,makesthemexploremoreandmorestrongconflictbetweenvalueconsciousnessandindividualisminthecourseofquestioninglife,resultinginamentalitysuchasultra-individualismandegoism.E.ConfusedMentalityAsisknowntous,youngmenonlyhavelittletimetopracticeinsociety,whichleadstotheshortageofexperienceofunderstandingsociety.Therefore,intheprocessofcomprehendingobjectivethings,maybetheywillbepuzzledbythepresentational,whichleadunderstandingtoappearone-sided;thisiscalledconfusedmentality(ZhangFanshen,1989).Thecomplicatedcontentinwesternethosesandthevariousformsmakeaillusionthatyoungmenthoughttheyaresteppingintothehallofsciencetothosewhomregardreactiveethosasthenewthoughtofscienceandacceptthem.Theseyouthscompletelydonotrecognizetheessencethatthoseethosesareanti-science,anti-truthandanti-Marxist.Someyoungpeoplearedazedbywesternethoses,whichaggravatethetrendofworshipingwesternculture,theythinkthewesternarebestandappearanihilistictendencyandwantstodenyingChinesetradition(WangQintian,1993).Morethantheworse,sexualliberationwhichoncewaspopularinwesterncountriesispursuedbyouryouth,theywanttoliberatesexfr
