low carbon life 演讲稿
Today "Low Carbon" is the term everyone should not unfamiliar it .Along with the national sustainable development strategies which the government has been implementing present .All these call our attention to the protection of the environment and the energy and pollution problem.  Low Carbon from the international point of view is low power, low emissions, low pollution, based on its essence is to improve energy efficiency and create a clean energy structure, the core of low carbon is technical innovation, system innovation and development concept of change. From our point of view of modern life, low-carbon life is the main theme of environmental protection, the common struggle of human society, the common goal of creating clean environment. In fact, low-carbon life in our side, and affect you and me. For low-carbon life, people encounter a similar dilemma: Although we know the importance of protecting the environment, know protecting the environment is everyone's responsibility, but some time, to improve the quality of life means to increase the carbon emissions. Experts point out that although one can not avoid carbon emissions, but it can reduce carbon emissions. Everyone is impossible to "zero carbon" life, in resource-poor moment, we have to constraint extravagance and waste. At the same time, to develop "low-carbon life" concept, prefer a natural, environmentally friendly, healthy lifestyle. In fact, to become family of low-carbon is not difficult, "low-carbon life" through the details of all aspects of life everyday, Take electricity for daily life: a home appliances with energy-saving plug socket must have good contact, electric kettle for heating to control the accumulation of scale in time, so that can improve the thermal efficiency; purchasing power of the best ironing or 700 watts to 500 watts of heat iron, not only heating up fast, but also saving; It would appear that everyone is able to control global warming and make a positive contribution. Low-carbon living is an attitude, not ability; we should action with every little things. The way we build is green way of life. As long as we are to act, make the sky bluer, the sea deeper, and the planet more beautiful. And actually, with the low carbon life these are very simple. Have you got low carbon today? A saying goes that “there’s only one mother earth’’. At present, more pollution has come into existence and our mother earth has become weaker and weaker. One source of the pollution is the over-releasing of carbon dioxide. As is known to all, too much carbon dioxide has caused the climate changes. Somewhere in the world, people are suffering from storms resulting from so much carbon dioxide given off. Moreover, the over releasing of carbon dioxide may result in less rainfall, the global warming and so on. Day by day and year by year, what will our planet be like? So, wake up to live a low-carbon life to protect our planet. Never are you allowed to say “NO” before you try it. Should it be convenient, try walking or cycling instead of driving. What’s more, turn off the lights when they are not in use. Take every little thing into account that can reduce the output of carbon dioxide. Easy as it might be, it can really make an unbelievable difference. Hey, have you got low carbon today? The teacher’s comment: The structure of the article is very well put, and she can use many beautiful sentence patterns including the inverted order, the subjunctive mood and she can very well use some newly-learned phrases, like take…into account, result in and so on. And in her writing, you can easily find the conjunctions, which many students find hard to use. Low-carbon life has been reduce carbon dioxide emissions, low energy, the end of consumption and low cost of life. Presently, a new lifestyle called low carbon life is spreading every corner of our country. The concepts of low carbon are low energy and no waste. It is such a significant project that I can’t wait to present my ideas on how to promote it.        On the first place, a no-car day is supposed to set up every week in our school. Because cars not only cause serious air pollution but also waste energy. On on-car day, neither students nor teachers are allowed to drive to school. Meanwhile, just walk, jump, cycle or run. Use our legs and enjoy the fun.        On the second place, we had best not use plastic bags any more. No one can stand the “white pollution”. So, it is wise to use bags which can be reused again and again.        Finally, one thing that we should keep in mind: every big thing comes from the subtle. Therefore, as students, we ought to turn out the lights the moment we leave, turn off the tap in time, and reuse our textbook and so on.       All in all, it weighs greatly for all of us to put the low carbon lifestyle into practice. Just set our mind to these: no-car day, no plastic bags, and no waste. Let’s do it now.  Comparing with the past, do you feel any warmer these days? Maybe you don’t take much notice of it. Nevertheless, on account of the burning of fossil fuels, the temperature has been increasing during the 20th century. In consequence, green house gasses(mostly CO2)trap heat from the sun and therefore warm the earth, causing both rising of sea level and terrible climate catastrophe. Presume that the temperature keeps on going up, no bright sunshine will visit us, unclear air will choke us and heat waves will kill us mercilessly.     However, much to our delight, nowadays countries and some organizations are aware of the importance of cutting the producing of carbon-dioxide. The U.N. Climate change conference opened in Copenhagen, Denmark on Dec.7th, 2009 arouses great concern from experts and officials, us included. Besides, in China, an effective law system has been set up to avoid producing too much greenhouse gasses.     Well goes a saying that protecting the earth is protecting ourselves. At the same time we are supposed to undertake the responsibility to lead a low-carbon lifestyle, which is of great significance. Needless to say, low-carbon lifestyle means a lot to our society. First of all, so great a method is it to control the global warming that we are bound to make good use of it. Moreover, to some degree, it contributes a lot to our health.     Absolutely there is a diversity of measures we can take so as to lead such an environmental-friendly life. For one thing, it is known to us all that large quantities of greenhouse gases are produced mostly by motor vehicles so that we, if possible, can walk or ride to school instead of depending on cars all the time. For another, we should spare no efforts to reduce energy in our daily life, for energy in the world today is decreasing rapidly. For instance, we can turn off electrical appliances if not necessary as well as using recycled materials. Furthermore, at our leisure, we can seek opportunities to plant more trees which can absorb carbon-dioxide. Last but not least, we are responsible for calling on others to lead low-carbon lifestyles.     In brief, low-carbon lifestyle is nothing but the best choice for us and only in this way can we form a harmonious relationship with the environment. "Walking the low-carbon talk" still difficult for many Chinese BEIJING: On the wall in a Beijing subway Line 4 station, a dozen posters feature beautiful scenes at risk of being destroyed by climate change, like arctic ice-caps and herds of penguins. The posters read, "Low-carbon life, walk your talk." Recently, there has been much talk about climate change in China. Awareness-raising ads like the subway posters are common in public places and on the Internet. Yet, even though ordinary urban Chinese are aware of the problem, it is not easy for many of them to walk the talk. Prof. Chen Ying considers herself very climate conscious. She works for the Beijing-based Research Center for Sustainable Development under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, a climate change think-tank. Living a low-carbon life lacked support, Chen said and cited household heating as an example. "I want to turn my heating down but I can"t, simply because the system was not designed to be adjustable," she said. In China, central heating is supplied by thermal power stations and community boilers, and channeled to households with little regard to user demand. Users are charged according to the area of their apartment, rather than actual consumption, which Chen said lessened users" willingness to save energy. An increasing number of real estate projects have installed household adjustable gas heaters in the last two years, but the majority of families still have non-adjustable central heating. "In China, the infrastructure in many fields does not support a low-carbon lifestyle," Chen said. In many aspects of everyday life, from heating to garbage recycling, people do not have the necessary technology or economic incentive to decrease their carbon output, she said. "IHowever, there are also cases where people do have choices but they still opt out of decreasing their carbon usage for understandable reasons. Yan Qiang, a 30-year-old bank employer, seldom takes public transport after buying a car. "I can not stand Beijing"s public transport system," he said. "The subway"s reach is limited. Buses are very unpredictable, crowded, hot in summer and freezing in winter as many don"t have air-conditioning or heating." Beijing now has nine subway lines but a large part of the city is still not connected by them. By 2015, at least ten lines more will be added. In addition, commuters are frustrated by the poor design of subway transfers. "You have to walk more than ten minutes to transfer from Line 2 to Line 13 at Xizhimen Station. It is really annoying," Yan said. As most subway lines and buses close at 11:00 p.m., late sleepers like Yan would prefer driving when hanging out with friends late at night. Li Xun, secretary-general of the Chinese Society for Urban Studies, told Xinhua, "Chinese used to lead a low-carbon life when the country was not so developed. Now, with cost being not such a concern, people can afford a more comfortable life." If public services were not that good, it was easy for high income earners to turn away from leading a low-carbon life, he said.                Previous Page 1 2 Next Page   n the case of central heating, people have no choice."
