AY series centrifugal oil pump is a brand-new one redesig-
ned on the basis of Y type one and by means of absorbing the
advanced foreign know-how and used for the demand of the m-
odernization construction and for quick suitability to the upd-
ating equip ment taking energy-saving as the center. It features:
Use 45,56,70 bearings to replace the former 35,50,60 ones,
enhancing the reliability.
A high effective energy saving hydrau lic mod el is used for
the hydraulic portion, the average efficiency is higher than
that of Y type by 5 8%.
To ensure the inheritance, the type of structure, external and
installation dimensions and performance range of this pump
are made identical to those of Y type so as for the oil apparatus
to be easily reformed.
Refined selection of materials, the main body takes the ma-
terials of , categories as the base, the bearing etc. parts
are made of cast steel and cast iron two materials, providing
the use at a cold outdoor and on a ship with a benefit condition.
The parts are widely universal and the standard parts can be
used mutually for several series products.
Three cooling ways are available with the bearing: air, blower
and water cooling, selectable upon different medium tem-
peratures. Of which the blower cooling is especially suitable
for the area lack of water or of a poor water quality.

AY series oil pump is used mainly for petroleum refining,
petrochemical and chemical industries to transport the petroe
um containing no solid grains, liquefied petroleum gas, other
petroleum products, high temperature high pressure, combus-
tible and explosive liquids.

Six kinds of structure are available with AY type pump: sin-
gle-stage single-suction, single-stage dual-suction, dual-stage,
single-suction underslung type, single-stage dual- suction and
dual-stage single-suction, dual-stage dual-suction both ends
supported type.
The casing is radial opened, especially suitable for transpor-
ting high temperature high pressure and combustible and explo-
sive or toxic liquids. It is mounted with the horizontal central
line supported. The flanges at both suck inlet and drain outlet are
cast on the pump casing, vertically upward. Both axle seal cavity
(packing box) and pump cover are cast integrally, used for pla-
cing packing seal and balancing, bellows and in-series mecha-
nical seals. On the outer of the cavity a selectable water cooling
chamber's jacket is cast, allocation of which should be specially
required or used when to transport the water, as the medium, of
a temperature over 66 and the hydrocarbon of a temperature
over 150 .
The impeller is integrally cast and via static balanced and
the axial force of the pump is balanced mainly upon its balancing
hole.
With the bearing body a set of radial ball bearing and a group
of back-to-back mounted pushing ball bearing are fitted, which
are lubricated with the thinned oil of the oil swing loop. The ext-
ernal face of the bearing body are cast with radiation sheets for
air cooling(T<120 ), and can also be cooled with a blower(T: 1
20 260 ) and with water(T:260 420 ).
In order to have the impeller, axle, bearing axle seal etc.parts
easily taken out during the overhaul of the pump while without
removal of the suck-in or drain-out pipeline, AY type oil pump
uses a flexible diaphragm extended clutch.

Cooling water is used to cool the axle seal cavity, bearing or
pump stand upon the requirements of temperature and use, re-
3 commende d to set the water volume as 0.3 0.7m /h per pipeline,

Seal rinse is different along with different transported media
and working conditions of temperature, pressure etc., See
the table below for the sealed liquild volume of each pump
cavity, either externally or internally supplied.
The pressure of the seal liquid is higher than that of the seal
cavity by 0.07 0.1MPa, generally.
Steam pipeline is to be fitted when the transported medium's
temperature lowers and becomes easy to separate out cry-
stal, the pressure of it is about 0.1MPa.
If transported media
is vaporized. The pressure should be 0.175~0.2MPa higher
than the vaporization pressure.
