ecifiedinthepurchaseorderAlistofstandardizedsupplementaryrequirementsforuseattheoptionofthepurchaserisincludedinSpecificationAAMThosewhichareordinarilyconsideredsuitableforusewiththisspecificationaregivenbelowOthersenumeratedinAAMmaybeusedwiththisspecificationuponagreementbetweenthemanufacturerandpurchaserSMagneticParticleExaminationSRadiographicExaminationSLiquidPenetrantExaminationSUltrasonicExaminationSExaminationofWeldPreparationSCertificationSPriorApprovalofMajorWeldRepairsSIntergranularCorrosionTestSAnintergranularcorrosiontestshallbeperformedinaccordancewiththeappropriatepracticefortheparticulargradeinvolved,aslistedinPracticesA,orasagreeduponwiththepurchaserIntergranularcorrosiontestsonstabilizedorcarbonmaximumgrades(CF,CFM,CFC,andCGM)shallbemadeonsensitizedspecimensOnallothergradesofchromiumnickelsteels,intergranularcorrosiontestsshallbemadeonspecimensrepresentativeoftheasshippedconditionSTensionTestSTensilepropertiesshallbedeterminedfrommaterialrepresentingeachheatThebarfromwhichthetestspecimenistakenshallbeheattreatedinproductionfurnacestothesameprocedureasthecastingsitrepresentsTheresultsshallconformtotherequirementsspecifiedinTableSSTestbarsshallbepouredinseparatelycastkeelblockssimilartoFigorFigorFigofAAMSTensiontestspecimensmaybecutfromheattreatedcastings,orfromascastcastingsifnoheattreatmentisspecifiedforthecastings,insteadoffromtestbars,whenagreeduponbetweenthemanufacturerandthepurchaserSTestspecimensshallbemachinedtotheformanddimensionsofthestandardroundinmmgagelengthspecimenshowninFigandofTestMethodsandDefinitionsA,andshallbetestedinaccordancewithTestMethodsandDefinitionsASIftheresultsofthemechanicaltestsforanyheat,lot,orcastingdonotconformtotherequirementsspecified,retestsarepermittedasoutlinedinTestMethodsandDefinitionsAAtthemanufacturer’soption,castingsmaybereheattreatedandretestedWhencastingsarereheattreated,theymaynotbereaustenitizedmorethanthreetimeswithouttheapprovalofthepurchaserTestingafterreheattreatmentshallconsistofthefullnumberofspecimenstakenfromlocationscomplyingwiththespecificationororderSIfanytestspecimenshowsdefectivemachiningordevelopsflaws,itmaybediscardedandanotherspecimensubstitutedfromthesameheatSPostWeldHeatTreatmentSWeldrepairsshallbeconsideredmajorinthecaseofacastingwhichhasleakedonhydrostatictestorwhenthedepthofthecavityafterpreparationforrepairexceedsoftheactualwallthickness,orinmm,whicheverissmaller,orwhentheextentofthecavityexceedsapproximatelyincmAllotherweldrepairsshallbeconsideredminorSGradesCF,CGM,CGM,CG,CF,CFM,CFC,CFF,CFFa,CH,CH,CE,CK,CF,CFM,CFMN,CNM,CNMS,CNMN,CB,CC,CAN,andCKMCuNshallbeheattreatedaftermajorweldrepairs,butitisnotrequiredafterminorrepairsexceptbyagreementbetweenthemanufacturerandthepurchaserSHardnessTestsSBrinelltestsonnonausteniticgradesshallbeconductedGradesCA,CAM,CB,andCCshallhaveaBrinellhardnessofHBmaximumGradeCANMshallhaveaBrinellhardnessofHBmaximum,GradeCAandCAF,HBmaximum,andGradeCAMWV,–HB,exceptfortheannealedcondition,whentheBrinellhardn
