Wash Up in ELMO’S WORLD Tub Time With the LETTER T Help SCRUB Oscar the Grouch! Can You Count 9 Soapy Socks? June/July 2008 FROM THE PUBLISHERS OF For more family activities, click here or visit sesamestreet.org Dif ferent Format, Same Furry Fun! © 2 0 0 8 S E S A M E W O R K S H O P .A L L R IG H T S R E S E R V E D . GOOD, CLEAN FUN! As summer kicks off, your child will likely be spending time outdoors—at the playground, playing in the grass, or working up a sweat while running around. Hand washing and bath time are perfect for teaching your child about hygiene—and letters, numbers, science, and art! As you talk about getting clean, soap and bubbles can be your teaching tools. Squirt a letter on her hand with foaming soap or draw a shape in the tub with bubbles. Your child may enjoy getting clean as much as she enjoys getting dirty! BATHTIME FUN (pages 4–5): Ernie and his friends love playing with bath toys, but Bert would rather take a bath. ELMO’S WORLD OF WASHING (pages 10–12): Elmo sees how babies and big things get lathered up. THE WAY WE WASH (pages 14–15): Your child learns how Sesame friends clean up—and why Oscar’s so messy! Enjoy the issue!
