Procedure:
Step 1 Warm—up .
1、Greetings
T: Good morning, boys and girls.
Ss: Good morning, Miss Ji.
2.Review some words.
T: Before our class, let’s play a game. 跟老师唱反调. I say “long” and you say “short”(show the adjective on the screen).Clear? Ss: Yes.
T: Big.
S: Small (jump)
T: Very good. Praise yourself.
Ss: Good,good,very good.
Step 2 Leading in
1. T: Look at the screen. Who is that little girl? Can you guess?
S1:…? S2:…? S3: It’s you.
T: Yes, you are right. It’s me. (teach—me) In this photo, I was 2, then. I was short and fat then. Now, I am 28.I’m tall and thin.
(Write on the Bb)I was 2, then. Now, I am 24.
(teach words—was, then,who, and emphasize the pronunication of“then”.
Step 3 Scene design
1、talk about oneself in the past.
T: It’s me. How about you? Please take out your photos. Talk about your childhood with your parner. Let’s begin.
(take photo to talk about oneself in the past with partner) (学生两人一组拿着照片描述小时候的自己。)

2、Talk about “grandparent(s)”

Write on the Bb:They were young ,then. Now, they are old. Step4: Consolidation and Extension --Guess who is he/she? 1) Hi, children! He’s 33 now. He’s a great basketball player. He’s good at playing basketball. Who is he? Can you guess? S4: You are Yao Ming.
T: You are so clever. You know Yao Ming is very popular in USA. Could you want to known little Yao Ming?
SS: Yes.
T: Can you say something about little Yao Ming?

Step5: Text Learning
T: Amy and Lingling is talking about lingling’s childhood. Let’s listen.
T:Please open your books and turn to page30. Let’s look at the title.Read
together.
T: Listen and point.
T: Listen and answer the following the questions. 1.Were they Lingling’s grandparents?
2. Who was the little girl?
3.How old was Lingling?
4.Was lingling’s hair short?
T: Read by themselves.
T: Read together.
Step 6 Consolidation.
Work in four, talk about the pictures now and the past. Step 7 Homework
