Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari dreams of a day when Chinese would travel to his country without the need for passports, and allow Pakistanis to do so.
"I have a great dream that Chinese can travel to Pakistan without a passport and Pakistanis can travel to china without passports," he said in an interview with the local television on Friday.
巴基斯坦现任总统扎尔达里周五接受当地一家媒体采访时称，梦想有一天中国人到巴基斯坦再不需要护照，希望巴基斯坦人也能从中国得到相同的待遇。
Pakistan also aspires to be the connecting route for flow of crude to China from destinations across the world, he said. "We are looking at energy coming to China through us," he said.
巴基斯坦同时希望成为世界各地原油运往中国的连接点，“我们期待能源通过我们流往中国”，他说。
Zardari's decision to publicly air his hopes and dreams, obviously after consultation with Chinese officials, reflects his confidence about the success of his mission to the troubled province of Xinjiang bordering Pakistan.
