If he should fail, he would be very sad. , Should he fail, …. 以wish (that)…表示「願望」的假設法 , were … ,過去動詞現在不可能實現的願望 ,過去式助動詞+ VR 主詞+ wish(ed) (that) + 主詞 ,had + 過去分詞過去不可能實現的願望 ,could/would + have +過去分詞未來不可能實現的願望 could/would + VR I wish I met my uncle now. I wish I had met my uncle yesterday. I wish I could meet my uncle tomorrow. I wish I had taken your advice. (= I regret that I didn’t take your advice.) I wished I had taken your advice. (= I regretted that I didn’t take your advice.) , hope + 能實現的願望 / wish + 不可能實現的願望 , wish之後接兩個受詞表示祝福 We wish you a merry Christmas. I wish you a safe trip.
