MODULE 1知识要点 1. be afraid of sth. ( n./ pron./ v. ing) 害怕(做)某事 Eg: I am afraid of being late to schol . be afraid to do sth. 害怕做某事 Eg: I am afraid to go to school. be afraid + (that)从句 害怕„„ Eg: I’m afraid that she is late for school. 2. What a delicious smell! 本句是一个感叹句,感叹句的常见结构为: what+a\an+adj.+可数名词单数(+主语+谓语)! what+adj.+不可数名词可数名词复\数(+主语+谓语)! how +adj. (+主语+谓语)! Eg:What a beautiful girl (she is)! =How beautiful the (girl is)! 此外,smell在本句中作名词,表示“香味”。 3. Would you like to try some? Would you like„„?是一个表示请求的句型,句中用some\something,而不用an y\anything。还可用于would like sth.\would (sb) like to do sth Eg:Would you like to go shopping with me this afternoon? Would you like something to drink? 4. have a try (n.) 试一试 类似短语:have a rest/ break 休息一下, have a seat 做做, have a look 看一看 。 拓展:(v.) 尝试 try (not) to do sth. 尽力(不)做某事,侧重达到目的而努力 Eg: I try to work out this problem. 我尽力解决这个问题。 try doing sth. 尝试做某事,没有明显的目的 Eg: Lucy tries opening her door with the new key. 5. be sure to do sth. 确信,相信,务必,肯定 Eg: Be sure to come tomorrow. 明天务必来。 He is sure to live to ninety. 他肯定能活到90岁。 be sure of/ about sth. 相信某事/对某事有把握 主语一定是人 Eg: He is sure of success. = He is sure that he will succeed. 他相信会取得成功。 6. It was great to hear from you. (1)It be +adj. to do sth Eg:It is important to learn English. (2)hear from sb. = get/ receive a letter from 收到某人的来信 拓展:hear about/ of sb./ sth. 听说某人某事。 7. can’t wait to do sth 迫不及待做某事 wait for sb.\sth. wait to do sth Eg:Tom can’t wait to open his bag. We are waiting for the bus. 8. 表示“穿戴”: wear+衣帽\饰物 in+颜色\款式 put on 穿上(动作) dress sb\oneself Eg:The girl in blue is my sister. It’s cold outside, please put on your coat. He is old enough to dress himself. 9. 表示“花费” 1) It takes sb. st. to do sth 2)Sb. spend(s) st.\sm. on sth (in) doing sth 3)Sth. cost(s) sb. sm 4) Sb. pay sth for sm Eg. It took me 2 hours to do my homework. = I spent 2 hours on my homework. = I spent 2 hours (in) doing my homework. 10. be proud of sb./ sth.对某人/某事感到骄傲 = take pride in doing sth. Eg: We are all proud of your success. = We all take pride in your succcess. 11. be excited about sth.对感到兴奋 Eg: I’m really excited about going abroad. ? v.-ing 的形容词修饰事物; v- ed的形容词修饰人 Eg: boring令人厌烦的, bored感到厌烦的; tiring令人疲倦的, tired感到疲倦的; surprising令人吃惊的, surprised感到吃惊的,; relaxing令人放松的, relaxed感到放松的; interesting令人感兴趣的, interested感到兴趣的; frightening吓人的, frightened感到恐惧的。 表感觉和知觉的系动词 1. 概念: 系动词亦称连系动词(Link Verb),它本身有词义,但不能单独用作谓语,后边必须跟表语(亦称补语),构成系表结构, 说明 关于失联党员情况说明岗位说明总经理岗位说明书会计岗位说明书行政主管岗位说明书 主语的状况、性质、特征等情况。 2. 系动词的种类: (1) 感觉类:与五种感觉器官相关的‎‎动词.常见的有: look(看起来),feel(摸上去), smell(闻起来) , taste(尝起来),sound(听起来)等。用法:V. + adj. ; +like+n. (2) “主观判断”类: 包括 seem(似乎是),appear(似乎、显得),prove( 证明 住所证明下载场所使用证明下载诊断证明下载住所证明下载爱问住所证明下载爱问 是), turn out (结果是, 证明是) 等。 用法:V. +(to be) adj./n. ;+ to do sth. Eg: He appears/seem to be very friendly with us. (3) “状态变化”类: 表示主语从一种状态变化成另一种状态。常见的有: become, turn(颜色、气味、天气、职业、年龄、时间等), grow(成长、发 展中的变化strong, tall, thick, healthy), go(朝坏的方面变化wrong, bad, mad,blind), come, get 等。用法:V. + adj./n. Eg: Put the fish in the fridge, or it will go bad in hot weather. (4) “状态持续”类:表示主语持续某种状态。常见的有: remain(依然),keep(保 持),stay(保持), continue(继续、仍旧)等。用法:V. + adj./n. Eg: —Why don't you put the meat in the fridge? —It will stay fresh for several days. 3. 注意事项: (1)这些感官动词均可作连系动词,后面接形容词作表语,说明主语所处的状态。其意思分别为“看/听/闻/尝/摸起来……”。除look之外,其它几个动词的主语往往是物,而不是人。 E.g. These flowers smell very sweet.这些花闻起来很香。 The tomatoes feel very soft. 这些西红柿摸起来很软。 (2)这些动词后面也可接介词like短语,like后面常用名词。 E.g. Her idea sounds like fun. 她的主意听起来很有趣。 (3)这些感官动词也可作实义动词,除look(当“看起来……”讲时)只能作不及物动词外,其余几个既可作及物动词也可作不及物动词,其主语通常是人。 E.g. She smelt the meat.她闻了闻那块肉。 I felt in my pocket for cigarettes‎‎. 我用手在口袋里摸香烟。 (4)taste, smell作不及物动词时,可用于“taste / smell + of + 名词”结构,意为 “有……味道 / 气味”。 E.g. The air in the room smells of earth‎‎. 房间里的空气有股泥土味。 (5)它们(sound除外)可以直接作名词,与have或take构成短语。 E.g. May I have a taste of the moon cakes? 我可以尝一口这月饼吗, (6)其中look, sound, feel还能构成“look/ sound / feel + as if +从句”结构,意为“看起来/听起来/ 感觉好像……”。 e.g. It looks as if our class is going to win. 看来好像我们班要获胜了。 课堂练习 一. 用所给单词的适当形式填空 1.
