Daniel: Our Earth is so polluted, animal's natural habitats are destroyed. 丹尼尔:我们的地球已经被污染了,动物的栖息地已经被摧毁了。
Matthew: True, more and more species will extinct in the near future. Global Warming has became one of the world's most serious issue. 马修:是啊,在不久的未来里,更多的动物种类都会灭绝,因为污染。全球暖化已经成为了很严重的问题。
Jasmine: Guys, as the environmentalists council members in our school,we have to do something about it!
嘉思明:哎呀别光说阿,咱们是学校的环保委员,我们必须行动!
Matthew: How?
马修:怎么做？
Jasmine: We have to protect our environment, species from being polluted. There are many things we can do, little things to make our world better! Have you guys ever heard of the
three Rs?
嘉思明:我们必须保护环境和动物,不能让他们被污染。其实生活中有许多我们可以做的事情,很小的事情,就可以有很大的影响!对了,你们听说过3个R么？ Daniel: Yes I've heard of them! Reduce, Recycle, Reuse, is it? Reduce energy consumption, Recycle papers, plastics, bottles, glass, and reuse papers, or other materials!丹尼尔:嗯,我知道~是Reduce(减少), Recycle，回收),和Reuse，重复利用，!对吗？减少日常能量消耗,回收纸,塑料,瓶子等等,而且重复利用纸戒者其他可以被利用的东西! Jasmine: Yep you've got it! Nice one, Daniel.
嘉思明:是啊,你说对了。不错嘛!
Matthew: Oh now i get it! I've just came up with a plan! Want to hear it? 马修:噢!!我明白了。我想了一个好主意,想听听么？
Daniel: Of course, can't wait, what is it?
丹尼尔:当然啦~我等不及了,是什么？
Matthew: It is actually a plan. Jasmine, You will make placards, and signs saying "Preserve the environment!" Make a list of things people can do, don't make it long! Stick those signs in
school
马修:其实是我的一个计划。嘉思明,你将负责写一些标志阿发扬环保。上面写着“保护环境”,而且呢,在字下面,弄个短的列表,就是大家平常可以做的小事情来环保。弄好了你就把那些标志,海报贴到学校里面。
Jasmine: Leave it to me. What about Daniel?
嘉思明:行,交给我吧!那么丹尼尔呢？
Matthew: Daniel will be in charge of recycling papers and stuffs at school and at home. Daniel, can you do that?
马修:丹尼尔会负责在学校和家里回收纸,塑料类似的。丹尼尔,你可以做到么？
Daniel: Of course I can. By the way, I will tell all of my friends and neighbors and family members about preserving the environment.
丹尼尔:当然可以了。而且,我还要告诉家里的人,朋友,邻居,关于环保的事情,我会交他们的!
Matthew: Fantastic!
马修:太好了!
Jasmine: What about you, Matthew?
嘉思明:那么你呢,马修？
Matthew: I will be giving a speech at our school's upcoming assembly representing our council. It is about Reducing energy consumption, encouraging people using solar in our school!
马修:我会在学校的下次典礼里代表学校环保委员会演讲。主题是减少日常能量消耗,鼓励大家用太阳能。
Jasmine: Oh wow! That gives me an idea. I will talk to the principal about applying solar energy into 嘉思明:哇!对了,正好给我一个主意。我会和校长谈话,关于在学校设施里使用太阳能! Daniel: You guys are so smart. OK, we don't have much time left, let's get started!
丹尼尔:你们好聪明~ 行啦,我们时间不多了,赶快开始行动吧!
