CooperativeLearninginLClassrooms中图分类号:H文献标识码:A文章编号:()IntroductionNowadays,cooperativelearningisanimportantpedagogicalpracticethatteachersfromallovertheworldcurrentlyusingintheclassroomteachingInChina,moreandmoreeducationalresearchersbegintopaycloseattentiontocooperativelearningactivitiesinLclassroomsThepurposeofthisarticleistoexplorethecooperativelearningfromdifferentaspectsWhatisCooperativeLearningConfuciushasdescribedthe“cooperation”thatis“Evenwhenwalkinginapartyofnomorethanthree,IcanalwaysbecertainoflearningfromthoseIamwithTherewillbegoodqualitiesthatIcanselectforimitationandbadonesthatwillteachmewhatrequirescorrectioninmyself”Smith()suggeststhat,“Cooperativelearningistheinstructionaluseofsmallgroupssothatstudentsworktogethertomaximizetheirownandeachothers'learning”CooperativeLearninginSecondLanguageTeachingandLearningStudentslearningEnglishassecondlanguage,theyneedalotofpractice,andcooperativegroupprovideopportunitiesforthemtocommunicatewitheachotherandgetmoreinformationBasedonmyownteachingexperienceinChina,inoneofmyoralclass,Igavestudentssomepicturestowatchatfirstandaskedthemtousetheirownwordstodescribethecontentofthepicturesingroupsatlast,theyhadtochooseonerepresentativetomakeapresentationinthefrontEveryoneisabletogetdifferentthinkingfromotherstudentsandtheysharethecommonmaterialsandideasJohnson’s()studyreviewedthatdirectlyaddresseshowteachershandledisruptivestudentsduringcooperativelearningThisteamofresearchersfoundthatinagroupofthirtyurbanfifthgradeteachers,thebenefitsofcooperativelearningdidnotoutweightheimportanceofclassroomorderThus,behaviorproblemstudentswereexcludedandoftenworkedaloneThosestudentswhowereunabletoworkingroupswerelowachievingstudentsAdvantagesandLimitationsofCooperativeLearninginLClassroomsAdvantagesCooperativelearningprovidesmanyopportunitiesforstudentstolearnfromoneanotherratherthanreceivinginformationfromtheteacherortextaloneManyChineseteachersliketointroducestudentstohaveroleplaysinEnglishclassroomsThiskindofteachingmethodcanhelpstudentshaveagoodunderstandingofthetextandtheycanusethelanguagepointsskillfullyStudentsgetmuchpracticebyactingplaysandtheycanlearnknowledgeatthesametimeDisadvantagesIfteachertreatthemequally,thelowlevelstudentsmayhavemoredifficultiesinlearningViseversa,thetalentedstudentsmayfinditmucheasiertodoAstimegoesby,lowlevelstudentsmaycomeacrossmoreandmoredifficultiesandtalentedstudentsmayfindoutthatthestudyismucheasierthantheyexpected,sotheywilllosttheirdirectionsinlearningConclusionFrommypointofview,cooperativelearningisIthinkthisisagoodpedagogicalpracticeinteachinglanguageclassroomCooperativelearningisnowwidelyrecognizedasoneofthemostpromisingpracticesinthefieldofeducationReferences:Johnson,DJohnson,RJohnson,Holubec,ECooperationintheclassroomJSmith,KACooperativeLearning:EffectiveTeamworkforEngineeringClassroomsJTian,CTheApplianceofcooperativelearninginEnglishlanguageteachinginChinesemiddleschoolJ
