大气Rossby波动力学的研究进展

摘 要
Rossby波是旋转大气和海洋中的一类重要波动,在天气和气候演变中起有重要的作用。该文介
绍了北半球中纬度地区的两类重要Rossby波——斜压不稳定波和准定常行星波,在最近20余
年来取得的一些重要研究进展。文中涉及的主要研究领域有:斜压不稳定波包动力学、湿斜压
过程对斜压不稳定波的作用、北半球风暴轴动力学、斜压波包与高影响天气的预报、准定常行
星波的形成机理、准定常行星波的水平传播与能量频散、准定常行星波的垂直传播与能量频散、
三维准定常行星波的传播与能量频散。

Advances of atmospheric of Rossby waves dynamics

Abstract
Rossby waves are a kind of large-scale waves in the atmosphere and oceans on the rotating earth and their activity is closely related to weather and climate. This article reviews the progress achieved in the recent two decade in studies on Rossby waves, particularly on two families of Rossby waves——baroclinic Rossby waves and quasi-stationary
planetary waves. The focuses of the review are: dynamics of baroclinic wave packets, effects of moist process on baroclinic waves, Northern Hemisphere storm track dynamics, baroclinic waves and prediction of high impact weather, mechanisms of quasi-stationary waves, horizontal propagation and dispersion of quasi-stationary waves, vertical propagation and dispersion of quasi-stationary waves, and three-dimensional propagation and dispersion of quasi-stationary waves.
