When they were children, they had no television no computer no telephone even no enough food. They could only play with the toys made by themselves. They usually did some work to earn money instead of traveling all over the country during holidays. At that time, women usually did housework and took care of their children rather than go out to work.
In contrast to family life one generation ago, each family in China today has at least one TV set and many have been equipped with telephones, computers, even cars. The number of married women in employment has more than doubled in the last twenty-five years. So the working mother is now not an unusual factor in a child's home life.
The changes in Chinese family life have mirrored the economic development of our country. And with the development of our society, our family life will be better.
