Qian Xiang Wan Cai Hiring Volunteer Translator for Cyberfair
Introduction:
The International Schools CyberFair is a themed web-page design competition hosted by The Global SchoolNet Foundation, with the support from the Technology Innovation Fund of the United States Department of Education. Since 1995, the CyberFair has attracted millions of youths around the world, becoming the biggest web design competition in the Guinness Book of Records.
The 2010 CyberFair has already begun, and 41 schools with 54 projects have completed their Chinese web-pages. Unfortunately, as a result of a shortage of translators, some schools with excellent projects cannot participate in the competition due to unfinished English pages. We are currently looking for volunteer translators to assist schools in Chinese-English translation, and therefore enable students to participate in this great event.
Volunteer Criteria:
1. Volunteer spirit
2. Familiar with English translation skills, possess sufficient time
3. Please apply on the Sichuan Teachers website, select this project, download
the document and begin Chinese to English translation. Submit your result
via e-mail to ysrlinkup@gmail.com. Volunteers will be selected based on
merit.
Volunteer Benefits:
1. Ability to receive a volunteer certificate from Qian Xiang Wan Cai
2. As a token of appreciation, Qian Xiang Wan Cai will reward volunteers RMB
10 for every thousand Chinese words translated.
3. Time flexibility with the translation work; no other time and venue
restrictions.

国际学校网页博览会大赛(International Schools CyberFair)是由全球学校网络基金会(The Global SchoolNet Foundation)所举办的全球专题式网页制作比赛，接受美国教育部教育科技创新奖励基金所赞助的研究计划。1995年首次举办以来，10多年的时间，每年都会吸引全世界数百万的青少年参加，被吉尼斯收录为全球最大规模网页比赛。
2010年网博会已经开始，目前已经有41所学校的54个作品已经完成中文网页，但是一直以来，会员学校老师的翻译能力有限，一些学校的精彩作品因为无法完成翻译而没有参加网博会评比，十分遗憾，所以希望有更多的志愿者来帮助学校翻译参赛网页，共同促进这一文化盛事的顺利完成。
网博会网页翻译志愿者要求如下:
1、具有志愿精神
2、熟练的英文翻译技能,有较充裕的时间
3、请先登陆【四川老师】网站，点击该项目，下载附件文档进行中英翻译，把翻译结果通过Email发送到邮箱:ysrlinkup@gmail.com，翻译水平将作为我们选拔志愿者的考核
