Step1: Warm-up
1. Greetings.
2. Say: I like animals. Do you like animals? Let’s listen to a song about animals. Try to remember what animals are in the song. Listen and sing the song: Old MacDonald had a farm.

Step2: Presentation
1. Ask: What can you see in the song? Where are the animals? Elicit the title: At a farm. Read the title after the teacher.
(设计意图:由歌曲中的动物引出今天的学习主题:At a farm.)
2. Say:Let’s scan what we’re going to learn. Play the flash of Let’s learn. Look and listen to the new words and sentences.
(设计意图:先让学生听一遍今天要学习的主要内容,在明确目标的前提下学习会让他们更有方向感,知道自己要学什么,要会什么。)
3. Show the pictures of the animals on the computer. Learn the single and plural forms of the words. Ask: What’s this? Then add another one and ask: What are they? They’re hens. Then teach the other animals by drawing the animals or show the pictures.
(设计意图:分部教学生词,通过白板中的绘图、书写功能,向学生展现不同的动物特征,激发学习兴趣,也能使要学的内容清晰明了,易于学生接受。通过使用插入图片的功能,向学生呈现可爱的动物形象,丰富学生的视觉刺激。在教授小羊的时候渗透情感教育,让学生意识到动物是可爱的,我们应该去爱护动物。使用不同的呈现方式,可以增加学习兴趣,更容易集中他们的注意力。在操练过程中,使用学生喜爱的chant进行,让他们接受起来更轻松,更开心。)
Step3: Practice
1. Say: I say single words, and you say plural words. And focus on the special word ‘sheep’.

4. Have students point to the pictures in their text books. Ask and answer like, What are they? They are goats.

5. Choose one picture on the screen. Ask and answer in pairs in front of the class.

Step4: Let’s do
1. Show them the five sentences and teach them the meanings by doing.
2. Play the flash of Let’s do. Have them listen.
3. Practice Let’s do together.

Step5: Let’s listen
1. Show them the listening exercises on the PPT. Play the listening material. Have them listen and choose the right answers.
2. Listen again and check their answers.
(设计意图:通过听力练习,检查学生对学习内容的掌握情况,并能训练听的能力。)
Step6: Let’s sing
Listen to the song: Ali Baba’s farm. Listen and look. What’s at Ali Baba’s farm?
(设计意图:在一首与本课内容相关的英文歌曲中结束本课教学,再次通过听获取信息,巩固新词,激发兴趣。)
Step7: Summary
Ask: What have you learned in this lesson? Show them the words and sentences on the computer. Listen and repeat.
Say: If your parents have farms, what do you do to help them? Let’s feed the hens, shear a sheep, /….
