Study Abroad Is Better than at Home
People’s living standard has been improved and parents tend to pay more attention to their children’s education. Therefore, more and more Chinese people decide to further their study abroad in order to acquire more knowledge. Studying abroad has many advantages. It widens students' knowledge and horizons, provides better atmosphere for study, and meanwhile cultivates their independence and personalities.
Firstly, students can gain experience abroad and broden their vision. In recent decades, China has had a rapid development both in economy and in education. However, compared with the developed countries, China still has a long way to go. Students have hard-won chance to experience a quite different culture. The knowledge of social custom acquires in the other countries helps them to become more open-minded. So students can make full use of this opportunity to learn advanced knowledge and management experience. Some people think that there is no need to study aborad, because study abroad costs too much money. Indeed, people will surprise what these students have get from studying abroad if they calculate carefully. To be specific, students can not only improve their ability, but also will have more choices for their future career.
Secondly, there are academic advantages for studying abroad offers better study atmosphere. Students will receive a different education. The book recources are more up-to-date. The professors are aware of the latest development in their fields. In other words, the standard of teaching is much higher than at home. Many achievements in scientific research are more perfection and progressive. Just like many foreign people come to China
learning Kongfu, students can gain the essence of konwledge in original place. In addition, study abroad can provide a good language environment for students and make it easy to pick up another language.
Thirdly, study abroad can cultivate students' ability to live independently and their characters. Students have to deal with many problems when they leave home. All of these——the new enviroment, strange people and different life habit——become the barriers
of study. Students have to overcome these difficulties. They have to learn how to accustomed to a new environment and how to get along with the teachers and classmates. During theri study, they can gain some interpersonal skills which also paves the road for working.
In conclusion, going abroad is better than studying at home. Students have easy access to the first rate facilities and latest development in the science and technology. When they accomplish their curriculum, they can make more contributions to the constrution of their matherland. Thus, as long as it is financially feasible, an overseas study is a better choice for students.
