The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the important national festival in China. The Dragon Boat Festival is a lunar holiday, occurring on the fifty day of the fifty lunar month. It is a significant holiday celebrated in China,and the one with the longest history.The origin of this summer festival centers around a scholarly government official named Q u Yuan. He was a good and respected man, but because of the misdeeds of jealous rivals he eventually fell into disfavor in the emperor’s court.
For memento the man and the festival,people around the holiday with different customs or more. Some people eat sweet soup balls and dumpling. Some person are dance of lion and dragon. The other man are dragon-boat racing and so on.The same,everyone all can eat ZongZi. ZongZi is best main food in DuanWu.The Customs has two aspect. Every year my family hangs Ay Tsao on their front door. People drink realgar wine to protect themselves from illness.
The festival bring many interesting for people. In spite of entertainment or eating. The Dragon Boat Festival has been enjoying more popularity and significance.Although the essence of the festival might differ from the past,it still offers the observer an opportunity to have a glimpse of the rich Chinese cultural heritage.
