Nowadays, lots of people in china can afford and would like to buy private cars, which can bring them to anywhere they want at any time they like. With the continuously increasing of private cars, air pollution and traffic problems trouble us a lot, however. There are, actually, a lot of means of transportation for us to take, when we go out.
Considering people’s health, environment protection and energy conservation, public transportation ought to be the best means.
Firstly, taking public transportation will boost your health. When you don’t drive, you will need to walk to the bus station or the subway station. This gives you an opportunity to do exercise.
The second advantage of using public transportation is that it helps to improve our living environment. It has become a common knowledge that cars produce tons of waste gas that cause the air pollution. The waste gas contains a lot of toxic chemicals, which will do harm to our organs and cause diseases. If we drive less and take more public transportation, the air quality will become better and better, the environment will be cleaner and cleaner and we will be healthier and healthier.
The last advantage of taking public transportation is that it saves our energy to some extent. With the same litre of gasoline, a bus can take more people to some further places than a private car can do. What a waste, if you, alone, drive your car to the office without sharing with other fellows!

My view on Examination
I think it is very necessary and helpful for both students and teachers to take examination. From examination, students can find out how well they have mastered their lessons. On the other hand, teachers can check students’ preference and their teaching method as well.
But examination still has its disadvantages. For example, to a degree, high scores doesn’t necessarily mean excellent ability or creativity in dealing with different situations. In order to get high marks, some students pay too much attention to their lessons, they may have no enough time to develop their talents in music, painting, playing, etc.
So, in my opinion, we should give students more chances to study hard and to develop their own interest, so as to get a balance between high scores and excellent ability.

Good health is the most valueable possession a person can have. There is no denying the importance of health. Without it, it is difficult to live a happy life no matter how much money or success one has. In order to maintain our good health and lead lives that are as fulfilling as possible, it is important to take some steps.
The first step is to keep regular hours and stick to a healthy, balanced diet. This is the basis of good health. Our bodies need sufficient nutrition and rest in order to function well and resist illness. The second step is to get regular exercise. Moderate exercise, such as walking, can have great benefits for our health if done on a regular basis. Third, I suggest seeing a doctor for an annual checkup. A doctor can often diagnose problems before they become serious enough to be apparent to us. Last but not least, take time to relax and renew your spirits and mental energy every day. This is just as essential as physical exercise because mental state often has a profound influence on our physical health. As the saying goes, “A sound mind in a sound body.”
There are many things that we can do to stay healthy. The important thing is to value our health and not neglect it. This means making healthy habits a part of our everyday life. If we simply develop a healthy way of living we are bound to live healthier, more satisfying lives.

A hobby can be almost anything a person likes to do in his spare time. Hobbyists raise pets, build model ships, weave bas-kets, or carve soap figures and so on. In a word, hobbies offer en-joyment, friendship, knowledge and relaxation.
Then, what is my hobby? Well, what I like most is singing. I began to sing songs when I was very young. My uncle was studying in a college then, so he could sing lots of songs, and he taught me several songs. I showed great interests in the music then, for they were pleasing to ears and easy to sing. My uncle told me they were called pop songs.
When I grew up, my music teacher found that I had a good voice, so she sent me to the Children's Palace to study vocal mu-sic. From then on, I began my vocal music training. And then I knew there were several kinds of songs, like folk songs, pop songs and so on. What I had learned most was the songs for children. They were all simple ones but our teacher trained us very strictly. We practiced how to produce sound and how to make our expres-sion more natural and more pleasing. Those simple training didn't reduce my interest in singing at all and I won awards one after
another in several kinds of competition. Actually I began to make up a dream of becoming a famous singer in the future.
As time went by, I came to realize that my dream wouldn't come true for there were strict conditions of being a singer. But I still took singing as my hobby since I found in music the interests which were lost in the exams. When I put all my emotion into singing a song, it gave me very good and very pleasant feelings, and a good chance to relax. Besides, it was a good way to learn things that couldn't be easily found in life.
Now as I'm saying goodbye to my childhood my voice has changed into a deep male voice, and therefore I can sing a lot of songs written for adults.
I am often deeply moved, by the melody or by what the song writers said.
I can feel that these words come from the bottom of their hearts: "All my best memories come back clearly to me. Some can even make me cry, just like before. It's yesterday once more. ""Heal the world, make it a place, for you and for me and the entire human race". When I sing these songs, tears well up in my eyes.
I love singing, and the most warm and fragrant thing in life, I assume, is sitting in the sunshine, listening-to the walkman and singing together with the singer.
So, this is my hobby, and I hope every one of us can enjoy his own hobby, en joy the simple, good things of life.
五、My hobby
I enjoy reading books very much, because there are lots of interesting things in them.
Two years ago, I didn't like reading very much. I had plenty of time, but I spent lots of time on playing with computers. When I was very young, I didn't think reading book was interesting, because I found nothing more interesting than the computer games.
I've changed now. I enjoy reading novels, because there're lots of interesting stories. I love to read Harry Potter. That's a good novel.
I know that it is one of the best-sellers in England. I'm always lose myself in the interesting stories.
