青岛农业大学全校选修课英美概况课程论文论文题目中美高等教育的比较研究学生专业班级材料化学级班学生姓名(学号)张树翰二O一三年五月二十日AComparativeStudyofHigherEducationbetweenChinaandUSAZhangshuhanClass,,MaterialschemistryAbstract:EducationisaprocessofteachingpeopleIthelpspeopletoimprovethemselvesinthesocietyDifferentcountieshavedifferenttypesofeducationandeachofthemshowsdifferentthingsandiscloselyresponsivetoitscultureAmericaneducationisthemostfamousoneamongthemStudyingonthosedifferencesbetweenChinaandAmericaisgoodforthereformationofChineseeducationKeywords:HigherEducationTeachingwaysDifference中美高等教育的比较研究摘要:教育是一个育人的过程它帮助人们提高在社会的地位不同的国家有不同的教学方式,并且每一个国家都展示不同的知识,而且与他们的国家文化有关在许多外国家中美国教育是最有名的学习中美之间的不同差异对中国教育的改革大有帮助关键词:高等教育教学方法差异IntroductionEducationiscloselyrelatedtothepolitics,economics,science,cultureandmilitaryofacountry,hasbecomeasymbolofthenationalpowerAsweallknown,AmericaneducationlevelisveryhighsothatitattractsanumberofoverseastudentsButwiththedevelopmentofeconomic,ChinaattractsalotofoverseastudentsinrecentyearsaswellOfcourse,therestillaremanydifferencesoncollegeeducationbetweenUSAandChinaButwhatisthedifferencebetweentheAmerica’seducationandtheChina'sWiththesequestions,IdidthiscomparativestudyontheeducationwaybetweenChinaandUSAByweighinguptheprosandcons,wecanhaveabetterunderstandingonwaysofimprovingoureducationThedifferencesofeducationbetweenUSAandChinaDifferencesinacademicstudiesInChina,thereisthesamesysteminacademicstudies,wealwaysmeetsameclassmatesinsameclassroom,andwehavetoomanyexamsinourlifeofstudiesTherefore,theteacheroftenbeginstolectureorworkthroughthecurrentchapteroftheirtextbookwiththem,andtheclassorderisgoodTheteachermainlycompletesalltheprocessofclassStudentsarejustlisteningtotheteachermostofthetimeintheclass,justastheylistentotheradioInUSA,theyhavesemestersnottermsAmericanstudentssearchthroughlonglistofcourseoptionsandselecttheonesthatbestfittheirinterestandgoalsTheyhaveapproximatelyclasshoursaweekandtheyseldomseethesameclassmatesinmorethanoneoftheirdailyclassesDifferencesinindependenceInChina,collegestudentsarelikelytobetheirparents’onlychildthefocusoffamilypride,concern,andhopeTheirparents’workhardtohelpthemsucceed,includinghelpingthemstudyforthedreadedcollegeentranceexamsAndparentstrytheirbesttoteachtraditionalConfucianvaluesofhonoringfamily,teacher,andeducationandthemodernrealitiesofrapidlyexpandingcommerceandtechnologyInUSA,collegestudentsarelikelytobemoreindependentoftheirparentsStudentsoftenmakedecisionsbythemselves,nomatteronstudyingandlivesAndstudentsareoftenexpected,aspartoflearningtobeanadult,topayforpartorallthecostsofcollegebythemselvesOntheotherhand,parentsalsogivemorefreedomforchildrentothebestoftheirabilitiesSomeAmericancollegestudentsthriveinthisnewfoundfreedom,andsomeflounderManygrowupquicklyduringcollegeothersfailandleavecollegetofindfulltimejobsTeacherstudentRelationshipsInChina,honoringtheteacherisatraditionalConfucianvalueinChinesepeople’smindSostudentsrespectteachersbothwithinandoutsideclass,treatingthemastheeldergeneration,notafriendAndstudentsoftenfollowtheteacher’ssayingthoroughlyInUSA,manyteachersholdtotheideathatarelaxed,informalclassroomprovidesanexcellentlearningenvironmentItisnotunusualforteacherstohavefriendly,casualrelationshipswiththeirstudents,treatingthemasequalsThereasonsforthedifferencesmentionedabove:Differentparents’viewsInChina,thereisachildinacommonfamily,studentsarealwaystheappleofourparents’eyes,soourparentsdomostthingsforusWeevendon’tknowhowtowashtheclothbeforegoingtocollegeButinAmerica,parentsalwayshaveanindependentthoughtontheirchildren,studentshavemorefreedomintheirlife,theydothingsalwaysbythemselves,sotheybuildanindependentcharacterinstudyandlifeTherefore,differentparents’viewsbetweenUSAandChinamaketheirchildrenbecomedifferentDifferenthistoricalbackgroundandtraditionalcultureChinawithalonghistoryhasasortofcohesiveandconservativesenseofworth,whichislackofspiritofadventureandinnovativeconsciousnessThereisashortageofenvironmentinwhichpeoplecanacceptnewideasBycontraries,Americaisanationofimmigrantswithashorthistory,thereremainssolittletraditionalcultureWiththeinfluenceofmulticultureandsenseofworth,itiseasytoacceptnewthoughtsandcultureSoAmericachildrenarebetterattakingrisksandinnovatingInChina,peopleadvocatecollectivismwhichemphasizethecollectiveinterestsmoreimportantthanpersonalinterestsTherefore,Chineseparentsusuallyreplacechildren’sinterestsbytheirownwillsandthoughtsTheydesignchildren’sfuturestandingintheadultangleWhat’smore,inChinesefamily,parentscanraisetheirchildreninthelifetimeHowever,stressingpersonality,upholdingindividualdevelopmentandcaringaboutpersonalbenefitareallthecoresofAmericancultureRationalisticAmericanparentsinsistthatchildrenafteryearsoldshouldbeindependentandnotrelyontheirparentsDifferenteconomicformChinahasalonghistorywithalargepopulationTherefore,therearesofewopportunitiestofindajobevenagoodjobwhichcandecideone’slifehappinessAndgettinghighmarkshasbecomeanecessaryconditiontohaveagoodjobandfutureTheconditionofeconmyinAmericaisbetterthanthatinChina,sotherearemoreemploymentopportunitiesinAmeric
