It’s my great honor to be here sharing my lesson with you. The content of my lesson is Book2 Unit 2’s Reading. I’ll be ready to begin this lesson from 4 parts: Analysis of the teaching material, the teaching methods, the students and studying methods, the teaching procedure. First, let me talk about the teaching material. Part? The analysis of the teaching material 1、 Teaching Aims: After studying the teaching material, the teaching aims are the following: 1. Knowledge aims: 1) Learn the new words in this passage. 2) Talk about “Love, Richness, Happiness, Knowledge---” in a fable. 谈论语言中的“Love, Richness, Happiness, Knowledge---” 3) recognize the conjunction and change of the tense of the object clause. 识别宾语从句连接词和时态的变化。 2 Ability aims: 1) To help students to improve the abilities of reading and telling story. 2) To encourage students speak English. 3 Emotional aims: 1) English and American English, through its learning to To encourage students to love, to help people and understand the relationship of Love, Richness, Happiness, Knowledge 鼓励同学们要帮助别人、爱别人。能够真正懂得爱、富 裕幸福和知识的关系。 2、Teaching Keys & Difficulties 教学重点、难点 Key points: 1) Let students master new words and phrases in the passage. 2) Develop students’ reading ability, especially summarizing, skimming and scanning ability. 3) Through cooperation, cultivate their communication ability. Difficult points: To recognize the conjunction and the change of tense of the object clause Part? Teaching methods As is known to us all, a good teaching method requires that the teacher should help the Ss develop good sense of the English language. For achieving these teaching aims, I will use the following methods according to the modern social communication teaching theories. (1) Multi-media teaching (2) Cooperative learning-for example: group discussion (3)Task-Based Language Teaching: for example role playing game Part? Analysis of the students and studying methods My students are first-grade students of senior high school. They have been learning English in junior high school and have accumulated a certain number of vocabularies. They have mastered some simple learning strategies and skills with a preliminary ability of speaking and writing. However, the differences in students’ personality and English proficiency are very large. So my teaching design should have gradient to meet the need of different student. As for learning, Students will learn through independent reading, discussing and cooperating. Part? Step2 Read the passage carefully, and then choose any golden egg. If answer question correctly, students can get a gift. This can make students to read the story and answer the questions actively. (1). Where did the story happen? (2). What would happen on the island? (3). When the island would sink, what did the feelings do? (4). Who helped Love? Why? Step3 通过回答问 快递公司问题件快递公司问题件货款处理关于圆的周长面积重点题型关于解方程组的题及答案关于南海问题 学生了解了大意。接下来同学们欣赏 关“爱不时间”的视频 进一步领会其中的意义。 欣赏完之后 学生以小组的形式用2分钟的来填完表格 进 一步了解故事的发展和故事的绅节 掌握故事的大意。 Step4 经过了回答问题 欣赏视频以及绅节的处理后 同学 们该用自己的语言来总结故事的大意了。为了让同学们积 极的发言,产生学习英语的兴趣,所以用填空的形式来降 低总结的难度。填完之后要及时地检查纠正。 Step5 这个故事中的语言对白比较多 所以同学们以对话的 形式演出来较好。这样对故事内容能够进一步的学习 了 解。 由于时间的关系 有两组的同学来表演。 Step6 语法学习。 通过故事中的一句话来引出本节课的语法。“They were told that the island would sink”。首先让同学们观察画线部分的 特点 画线部分是一个句子 且跟在动词“told”之后 一 次总结宾语从句的定义。再看时态 主句动词是“were”是 过去时 从句中动词”would”是过去将来时 可以说主句是 过去时时 从句要用过去时的相应时态。当主句是一般现 在时从句任意时态都可以。再看一下连接词 当从句是陈 述句时用”that”来连接 当从句是一般疑问句时 从句用”if” 或”whether” 当指时间的疑问词时用连接词when 指地点 的话用”where” 方式的话用”how”,最后还要注意宾语从句 用陈述句的语序。如 I don’t know where he will go tomorrow.而不能用I don’t know where will he go tomorrow. 进一步练习宾语从句 用宾语从句连接故事中出现的句子 Love decided to ask Vanity: “can you help me?” Vanity thought Love ____ wet and _______ her boat. “Come,Love, I’ll take you” Time said. 5 Only time can understand ___ valuable Love __ Step7 学以致用 请同学们结合自己的实际谈谈如果爱像自 助 自己会怎么做呢。可以发挥自己的想象。 Step8 Homework Task4 Find out the Object clauses from the story. Now I’d like to divided our whole class into 5 groups. You six, Group 1; You seven, Group2--- Now let’s look at some QQ feelings. You can use them to express your feelings when you are chatting with your friends on line. Let’s read the words one by one: glad--- --- Very good. Ok, Let’s find out which are good feelings and which are“bad feelings”.Do you understand?------Good. “glad” is good feelings or bad feelings? What about “……….”? This one? These feelings are important for us. Long long ago they once lived on an island peacefully. But one day, something happened and put them in danger. Do you want to know what happened to them? Ok, Today we’ll learn the story, “love and time”. Now, I give you 5 minutes to read the story and answer my questions. --- --- 2 Now stop here. Here are four golden eggs, three eggs have gifts, one is empty, choose any egg, there is a question. If you answer the question correctly, you can get one gift. Are you clear? Reason is--- --- And Love asked Vanity for help, Vanity answered”No” Because--- --- And Sadness”Yes or No”? Because--- --- Last one Time”Yes or No”? Because--- --- 3 Yes, your group does very well. Ok, let’s recall the story and finish your sheet.(Fill in the blanks according to the story) --- --- Who can fill. Volunteer? Please!--- --- Year, Good! This story includes many dialogures. So we should speak them out and act out. Ok? Let’s do a role play with your group members. One is Richness, One is Vanity, Sadness, Time, and so on. And also need a reader. Do you understand me? If your group is lucky enough, you’ll be choosen to come here. Ok, begain to prepare(Boys and girls 动起来)--- --- Yes, let’s see(选组) Group 3. Come here, Please? Very good, excellent! Next, (选组) Group 1 have a try. Please? --- --- Good! Our class do the best. There is a sentence from the story. Let’s see its feature.
