He is one of the most volatile Besides his strong points, he has his own weak points in his character, such as melancholy and delay. To sum up, in such certain society, we say it is reasonable for Hamlet 's melancholy and delay .In Hamlet's mind, the great responsibility is the most important thing. Affected by the humanism, Hamlet's revenge is not only for his father , but for saving his motherland .After revenging for his father ,when Hamlet was dying ,he still remembered his responsibility to the society .Thus, we can say the basic feature of Hamlet 's character . I think Hamlet knows what he should do clearly but he doesn't know how he could do it .So Hamlet 's Melancholy and delay can't demonstrate the weakness of Hamlet 's character, The melancholy and the delay, we can say, are the reflect of that era .It reflects deeply the reactionary forces are very strong at that certain era and the progressive request is impossible to realize. These factors made Hamlet have such special characters.
