Here there‘s a well-known story，that is “DaYu Flood Control story”. Owing to his contribution to prevent floods by water control，the head of tribe(部落） ，Shun，awarded him the land. After Shun died，people support DaYu as leader，he united with the other tribes，then builded the first real country in our history，Xia dynasty. Of course，DaYu became the first king in our history，the capital is YuZhou. The figure of DaYu is still standing in the center of YuZhou city，which has became the symbol of my hometown.null Another ancient history story is about Yellow Emperor（黄帝），a legendary ruler. Guang Yuanzi ，an immortal（神仙），had ever practiced in the Daoist temple（道观）——XiaoYaoguan. When Yellow Emperor knew，he went to visit Guang Yuanzi to ask for statecraft（治国之道）.In his old years，Yellow Emperor retired from public life and practiced in XiaoYaoguan together with Guang Yuanzi.庄子·在宥篇 ：“黄帝十九年，闻广成子在于崆峒之上，故往见之。”nullinscriptions on stonenull But YuZhou is not well-known for DaYu and Yellow Emperor，after all ，they have been history，quite ancient history. What make YuZhou famous to the world are Jun porcelain（钧瓷）and traditional Chinese medicine（中药）.Jun porcelain（钧瓷）Jun porcelain（钧瓷）null In 1997, Henan presented a pair of Jun porcelain vase to Hong Kong，which is exactly 1997mm high， celebrating Hong Kong‘s back. YuZhou is the Jun porcelain capital of China. Jun porcelain has nearly two thousand years history，becoming more and more popular in our life. In recent years，people think highly of Jun porcelain，and Jun often be presented to many National friends as National Present. null We often see Jun porcelain ，but maybe you know only a little about it. The main differences between Jun and other kinds of china are its color and pictures. The color and pictures of almost all kinds of china are drawn on it， except Jun.null This should be owed to Wu Daozi，who’s a famous painter in history. He first invented colored glaze（彩釉）,which consists of many kinds of mineral materials. It makes the procelain colorfull. Before fired,it looks dull gray，but colorful after it comes out of the klin （ 入窑一色，出窑万彩）.null The opening ceremony for traditional Chinese medicine material trade null As a saying says，“The traditional Chinese medicine which not have met the King of Medicine will not work.” The King of Medicine ，Sun Simiao，had lived in YuZhou，so YuZhou became the collecting and distributing centre of traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. Every year，YuZhou traditional Chinese medicine material trade attracts dealers from all over the country. YuZhou is rich in traditional Chinese medicine material.
