The relationship between man & nature
Nature, the environment which human beings live by, is magnificent and unique. There is only one earth with super living conditions in the universe. We should have cherished nature and preserved it. Conversely, we have been continually spoiling it, even to a shocking degree. In my opinion, we human should establish a friendly relationship with nature.
On one hand, human beings are the offspring of nature. To keep the sustainable development of us humans, we must protect nature from pollution, destruction, encroachment, and disharmony. The ideal relationship between humans and nature are in harmony and that is our ultimate aim.
On the other hand, people cannot live apart from nature, and yet, people cannot live in nature without changing it. It is true for all creatures that they depend upon nature and they change it. We cannot submit to nature sometimes. For example, we cannot control the start and end of end, but it can be used to make power. Earthquake can be forecasted to avoid heavy loss by high-technology. The primeval desert also can be changed into fertile oil by our humans’ efforts. But the key to the success of the change is how to handle the kind and scale of the difference made by humans. As if you choose to make too great a difference, you’ll diminish nature and narrow your subsequent choices. Ultimately, you diminish or destroy yourselves.
Therefore, before we take immediate measures to do something, we should be aware of the fact that "Conquering the nature" will never be our goal; instead, we should take the nature as our intimate friend. Preserving nature is not only preserving our home, but the civilization of human community as well.
