Description N-Methylmorpholine is a colorless liquid, free of suspended matter. It is miscible with water and almost all common organic solvents. Safety N-Methylmorpholine is corrosive to the skin and eyes and may cause perma- nent eye damage. Ingestion may cause severe gastric disturbances. Applications Intermediate used in the production of: • pharmaceuticals • agriculture chemicals • polyurethane catalysts It is also used as: • a corrosion inhibitor • a rubber auxiliary • a textile auxiliary • a wax emulsifier • a solvent and extractant Packaging Available in 396 lb (net weight) nonre- turnable steel drums. Storage & Handling N-Methylmorpholine has an almost un- limited shelf life in unopened, original containers if protected from heat and when properly stored in a protected storage area. It is neither explosive nor spontaneously flammable in air. However, it is highly flammable, mal- odorous and corrosive.
