It’s a period of the breaking up of feudal relations and the establishing of the foundation of capitalism. 3. Renaissance reached the climax and its core is Humanism. Key word: Renaissance 1. It’s one of the most tempestuous periods in English history. At first, there’s the Revolution of Bourgeoisie and then there is the Restoration of Stuart. 2. James 1 give rise to the theory of the divine right of kings. But the Puritans reject it strongly. 3. In 1653, Oliver Cromwell imposed a military dictatorship on the country.
